புக்கர் பரிசு 2022 / BOOKER PRIZE 2022

• 2022-க்கான புக்கர் பரிசை வென்றார் இலங்கையை சேர்ந்த எழுத்தாளரான சேகன் கருணாதிலக. ஆண்டுதோறும் சிறந்த நாவல் படைப்புக்காக வழங்கப்படும் இலக்கிய விருது இது. ‘The Seven Moons of Maali Almeida’ என்ற நாவல் படைப்புக்காக அவர் புக்கர் பரிசை வென்றுள்ளார்.
• கடந்த 1990-களில் இலங்கையில் நடைபெற்ற உள்நாட்டு போர் தான் இதன் களம் என தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. 47 வயதான அவர் எழுதியுள்ள மூன்றாவது நாவல் இது என தெரிகிறது. 
• இலங்கையின் தெற்கு பகுதியில் உள்ள Galle நகரில் பிறந்தவர். நியூஸிலாந்தில் படித்து, லண்டன் போன்ற வெளிநாட்டு நகரங்களில் பணியாற்றிய அனுபவம் கொண்டவர்.
• இங்கிலாந்து மூன்றாம் சார்லஸின் துணைவியார் கமிலா, அவருக்கு புக்கர் விருதை வழங்கி சிறப்பு சேர்த்துள்ளார். அவருக்கு 50 ஆயிரம் பவுண்டுகள் பரிசு தொகையாக வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. 
• மொத்தம் 6 படைப்புகள் இந்த விருதுக்கான பரிந்துரையில் இந்த முறை இருந்தது. இதனை 5 பேர் அடங்கிய நடுவர் குழு பரிசீலித்து வெற்றியாளரை அறிவித்தது.
• இலங்கையில் உள்ள புத்தக விற்பனை கடைகளில் இந்த புத்தகம் ஃபேண்டஸி பிரிவு வகையில் இடம் பெற்றிருக்கும் என நம்புகிறேன். நிச்சயம் தவறுதலாக அரசியல் அல்லது எதார்த்த பிரிவில் இருக்காது என நம்புவதாக பரிசை பெற்றுக் கொண்ட சேகன் கருணாதிலக தெரிவித்திருந்தார். அருந்ததி ராய், கிரண் தேசாய், அரவிந்தா ஆகிய இந்தியர்கள் இந்த பரிசை வென்றுள்ளனர்.

• Sri Lankan author Segan Karunathilaka has won the Booker Prize for 2022. It is an annual literary award given for the best novel. He won the Booker Prize for his novel 'The Seven Moons of Maali Almeida'.
• It has been reported that the civil war in Sri Lanka in the last 1990s is its domain. This appears to be the 47-year-old's third novel. Born in Galle, Southern Sri Lanka. Studied in New Zealand and has experience working in foreign cities like London.
• Camilla, consort of Charles III of England, added distinction by awarding him the Booker Prize. He has been given a prize money of 50 thousand pounds. A total of 6 works were nominated for this award this time. A panel of 5 judges considered it and announced the winner.
• I hope this book will be available in the fantasy section of bookstores in Sri Lanka. Segan Karunathilaka, who received the award, said that he hoped that there would be no mistake in the politics or reality category. Indians Arundhati Roy, Kiran Desai and Aravinda have won this prize.
