• இந்திய, பிரேசில் மற்றும் தென்னாப்பிரிக்க கடற்படைகளின் கூட்டுப் பன்னாட்டு கடல்சார் பயிற்சியான IBSAMAR இன் ஏழாவது பதிப்பில் பங்கேற்பதற்காக INS தர்காஷ் தென்னாப்பிரிக்காவின் Gqeberha (போர்ட் எலிசபெத் என்றும் அழைக்கப்படுகிறது)
• IBSAMAR இன் முந்தைய பதிப்பு (IBSAMAR VI) தென்னாப்பிரிக்காவின் சைமன்ஸ் டவுனில் 01 முதல் 13 அக்டோபர் 18 வரை நடத்தப்பட்டது.
• இந்திய கடற்படையின் பிரதிநிதியாக டெக் கிளாஸ் ஏவுகணை போர் விமானம், ஐஎன்எஸ் தர்காஷ், சேடக் ஹெலிகாப்டர் மற்றும் மரைன் கமாண்டோ படையின் (மார்கோஸ்) பணியாளர்கள் உள்ளனர்.
• IBSAMAR VII இன் துறைமுக கட்டத்தில், சேதக் கட்டுப்பாடு மற்றும் தீயணைக்கும் பயிற்சிகள், VBSS/கிராஸ் போர்டிங் விரிவுரைகள் மற்றும் சிறப்புப் படைகளுக்கு இடையேயான தொடர்பு போன்ற தொழில்முறை பரிமாற்றங்கள் அடங்கும்.
• கூட்டு கடல்சார் பயிற்சியானது கடல்சார் பாதுகாப்பை வலுப்படுத்தும், கூட்டு செயல்பாட்டு பயிற்சி, சிறந்த நடைமுறைகளைப் பகிர்தல் மற்றும் பொதுவான கடல்சார் அச்சுறுத்தல்களை எதிர்கொள்ளும் வகையில் இயங்கும் தன்மையை உருவாக்குதல்.

• INS Tarkash reached Port Gqeberha (also known as Port Elizabeth), South Africa to participate in the seventh edition of IBSAMAR, a joint multinational maritime exercise among Indian, Brazilian and South African Navies from 10 - 12 Oct 22.
• The previous edition of IBSAMAR (IBSAMAR VI) was conducted off Simons Town, South Africa from 01 to 13 Oct 18. 
• The Indian Navy is represented by the Teg class guided missile frigate, INS Tarkash, a Chetak helicopter and the personnel from the Marine Commando Force (MARCOS).
• The harbour phase of IBSAMAR VII includes professional exchanges such as damage control and fire-fighting drills, VBSS/cross boarding lectures and interaction among special forces.
• The Joint Maritime Exercise will strengthen maritime security, joint operational training, sharing of best practices and building interoperability to address common maritime threats.
