போலீஸ் அக்கா திட்டம் / POLICE AKKA SCHEME

• கோவை மாநகரக் காவல் துறை சார்பில் மக்களைப் பாதுகாக்க பல்வேறு புதிய முயற்சிகள், நடவடிக்கைகள் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டு வருகின்றன. இதன் ஒரு பகுதியாக, ‘போலீஸ் அக்கா’ என்ற புதிய திட்டம் அறிமுகப்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• இதில், அனைத்துக் கல்லூரிகளுக் கும் ஒரு மகளிர் காவலர், தொடர்பு அலுவலராக நியமிக்கப்ட்டு மாணவிகளுடன் கலந்துரையாடுவது, அவ்வப்போது பொது நிகழ்வுகளில் கலந்து கொண்டு மாணவிகளுக்கு ஏற்படும் உளவியல், பாலியல் ரீதியான பிரச்சினைகளுக்கு தீர்வு காண்பது, கல்லூரிகளில் நடக்கும் கருத்து மோதல்கள், போதைப் பொருள்கள் விற்பனை உள்ளிட்ட அனைத்து பிரச்சினைகளையும் சம்பந்தப்பட்ட துறையின் கவனத்துக்கு கொண்டு சென்று தீர்வு காண்பது, கல்லூரி மாணவிகளுக்கு நல்ல சகோதரியாக செயல்பட்டு, அவர்கள் தரும் தகவல்களை ரகசியமாகப் பாதுகாத்து நடவடிக்கை மேற்கொள்வது உள்ளிட்ட செயல்பாடுகளில் அந்தப் பெண் காவலர்கள் ஈடுபடுவார்கள் என தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• மாநகரக் காவல் ஆணையர் அலுவலகத்தில் நடைபெற்ற நிகழ்வில் ‘போலீஸ் அக்கா’ திட்டத்தை ஆணையர் பாலகிருஷ்ணன் தொடங்கிவைத்தார்.
• இதில், காவல் துணை ஆணையர் சுஹாசினி உள்ளிட்ட போலீஸ் அதிகாரிகள், கோவை மாநகரில் உள்ள 60 கல்லூரிகளின் நிர்வாகிகள், போலீஸ் அக்கா திட்டத்தில் பணியாற்ற உள்ள 37 பெண் காவலர்கள் உள்ளிட்டோர் கலந்து கொண்டனர்.

• Various new initiatives and activities are being carried out by the Coimbatore Police Department to protect the people. As part of this, a new scheme called 'Police Akka' has been introduced.
• In this, all the colleges appoint a women guard as liaison officer to discuss with the students, participate in public events from time to time and find solutions to the psychological and sexual problems of the students, conflicts of opinion in the colleges, sale of drugs etc. It has been reported that the female guards will be involved in activities such as acting as a good sister to the students, protecting the information they provide confidentially and taking action.
• Commissioner Balakrishnan launched the 'Police Akka' project at an event held at the Municipal Police Commissioner's Office.
• Police officers including Deputy Commissioner of Police Suhasini, administrators of 60 colleges in Coimbatore, and 37 female police officers who are to work under the Police Akka program were present.
