• சிவகாமி அம்மையார் நினைவு பெண் குழந்தைகள் பாதுகாப்பு திட்டம் என்பது தமிழ்நாடு அரசின் ஒரு திட்டமாகும். இத்திட்டத்தின் நோக்கமானது குடும்பங்களிலில் ஆண் வாரிசு வேண்டும் என்ற கருத்தை மாற்றுதல், குடும்பக்கட்டுப்பாட்டை ஊக்குவித்தல், பெண் சிசுக் கொலையை ஒழித்தல், ஏழை குடும்பங்களில் பெண் குழந்தைகளுக்கு நல்வாழ்வு அளித்தல், பெண் குழந்தையின் மதிப்பை உயர்த்துதல் ஆகும்.

நிபந்தனைகள்

• குடும்பத்தில் ஒன்று அல்லது இரண்டு பெண் குழந்தைகள் மட்டுமை இருக்கவேண்டும்.
• ஆண் குழந்தை இருக்கக் கூடாது பின்னாளில் ஆண் குழந்தையைத் தத்தெடுக்கவும் கூடாது.
• 35 வயதுடைய பெற்றொரில் ஒருவர் கருத்தடை அறுவைச் சிகிச்சை செய்திருக்க வேண்டும்.
• விண்ணப்பதாரர்கள் அல்லது அவர்கது பெற்றோர் தமிழகத்தில் பத்தாண்டுகள் வசித்தவராக இருக்கவேண்டும்.
• திட்டம் 1இன் கீழ் விண்ணப்பிப்பவர்கள் குழந்தை பிறந்த மூன்று ஆண்டுகளுக்குள் விண்ணப்பிக்கவேண்டும்.
• திட்டம் 2இன் கீழ் விண்ணப்பிப்பவர்கள் இரண்டாவது குழந்தை பிறந்த மூன்று ஆண்டுகளுக்குள் விண்ணப்பிக்க வேண்டும்.
• குடும்ப ஆண்டு வருமானமானது 72000க்கு மிகாமல் இருக்க வேண்டும்.

திட்டம் 1

• 1 ஆகத்து 2011 அன்றோ அல்லது அதற்கு பிறகோ பிறந்து குடும்பத்தில் ஒரேயொரு பெண் குழந்தை மட்டும் இருப்பின் அந்தப் பெண் குழந்தைப் பெயரில் ரூ. 50,000 காலவரை வைப்புத்தொகை வைக்கப்படும். 
• திட்டம் 1 இன் கீழ் பயனடைந்த பெண் குழந்தை இறந்துவிட்டால் அந்தக் குழந்தையின் தாயாருக்கு முதிர்வுத் தொகை வழங்கப்படும். தாயாரும் இறந்துவிட்டால் குழந்தையின் தந்தைக்கு வழங்கப்படும். இருவரும் இல்லாத நிலை ஏற்பட்டால் அரசுக்கு சென்றுவிடும்.

திட்டம் 2

• 1 ஆகத்து 2011 அன்றோ அல்லது அதற்கு பிறகோ பிறந்து குடும்பத்தில் இரண்டு பெண் குழந்தைகள் மட்டும் இருப்பின், ஒவ்வொரு பெண் குழந்தைகளின் பெயரிலும் தலா ரூ.25,000 நிலை வைப்புத்தொகை வைக்கப்படும். 
• திட்டம் 2ன் கீழ் பயனடைந்த பெண் குழந்தையானது இறந்துவிட்டால் உயிருடன் இருக்கும் மற்றொரு குழந்தைக்கு முதிர்வுத் தொகை வழங்கப்படும். 
• இத்திட்டத்தில் சேரும் குழந்தையின் பெயரில் வைக்கப்படும் வைப்புத் தொகையானது ஒவொரு ஐந்தாண்டு முடிவிலும் புதிப்பிக்கப்பட்டு 18ஆம் ஆண்டு நிறைவடையும்போது வட்டியுடன் கூடிய முதிர்வுத் தொகை 10ஆம் வகுப்பு தேர்வு எழுதிய பெண் குழந்தைக்கு அளிக்கப்படும்.

ENGLISH

• Sivagami Ammaiyar Memorial Girl Child Protection Scheme is a scheme of Tamil Nadu Government. The objective of this scheme is to change the concept of male succession in families, promote family planning, eliminate female infanticide, provide well-being of girl children in poor families and enhance the value of the girl child.

Conditions

• There should be only one or two female children in the family.
• Should not have a male child and should not adopt a male child later.
• At 35 years of age, one of the parents must have undergone sterilization.
• Applicants or their parents must have resided in Tamil Nadu for ten years.
• Applicants under Scheme 1 should apply within three years of the child's birth.
• Applicants under Scheme 2 should apply within three years of the birth of the second child.
• Annual family income should not exceed 72000.

Scheme 1

• If there is only one female child in the family born on or after 1st August 2011, Rs. 50,000 will be held for the duration of the deposit. 
• If the female child benefited under Scheme 1 dies, the maturity amount will be given to the child's mother. 
• If the mother also dies, it will be given to the child's father. In case of absence of both, it will go to the government.

Scheme 2

• If the family has only two female children born on or after 1st August 2011, a fixed deposit of Rs.25,000 each will be placed in the name of each female child.
• In case of death of beneficiary girl child under Scheme 2 another surviving child will be given maturity amount.
• The deposit in the name of the child enrolled in the scheme is renewed at the end of every five years and on completion of 18 years, the maturity amount with interest is given to the girl child who has passed the 10th standard examination.
