பிம்ஸ்டெக் நாடுகளின் வேளாண்துறை அமைச்சர்கள் பங்கேற்ற 2வது கூட்டம் / 2ND MEETING OF AGRICULTURAL MINSITERS OF BIMSTEC COUNTRIES

• மத்திய வேளாண்துறை அமைச்சர் திரு நரேந்திர சிங் தோமர் தலைமையில் பல்வேறு துறைச் சார்ந்த தொழில்நுட்பம் மற்றும் பொருளாதார ஒத்துழைப்புக்கான வங்காள விரிகுடா முன்னெடுப்பின் வேளாண்துறை அமைச்சர்கள் நிலையிலான இரண்டாவது கூட்டத்தை இந்தியா நடத்தியது. 
• இக்கூட்டத்தில் பூடான், பங்களாதேஷ், நேபாளம், மியான்மர், இலங்கை மற்றும் தாய்லாந்து நாடுகளின் வேளாண்துறை அமைச்சர்கள் பங்கேற்றனர். 
• காணொலி காட்சி மூலம் நடைபெற்ற இக்கூட்டத்தில் பேசிய திரு தோமர், வேளாண்துறை மாற்றத்திற்கான ஒத்துழைப்பை வலுப்படுத்த விரிவான பிராந்திய செயல் திட்டத்தை ஏற்படுத்த ஒத்துழைக்குமாறு உறுப்பு நாடுகளைக் கேட்டுக்கொண்டார். 
• சிறுதானிங்களின் முக்கியத்துவத்தை குறிப்பிட்ட அவர், இது ஊட்டச்சத்துமிக்கது என்று கூறினார். சிறு தானியங்களை பிரபலப்படுத்த இந்தியா மேற்கொண்டு வரும் முயற்சிகளை எடுத்துக்கூறினார்.  
• 2023-ம் ஆண்டு சர்வதேச சிறுதானிங்கள் ஆண்டாக கடைப்பிடிக்கப்பட உள்ள நிலையில், அனைவருக்கும் உகந்த வேளாண்முறையை கடைப்பிடித்து, ஆரோக்கியமான உணவை வழங்குமாறு உறுப்பு நாடுகளை அவர் வலியுறுத்தினார். 
• சிறு தானியங்களை ஒரு உணவாக பிரபலப்படுத்தும் இந்தியாவின் முயற்சியில் இணைந்து செயல்படுமாறு அவர் கேட்டுக்கொண்டார். 
• இயற்கை மற்றும் சூழலியல் வேளாண்முறை வேளாண் - உயிரி  பன்முகத்தன்மையை பாதுகாத்து ரசாயன பயன்பாட்டை குறைக்க வேண்டும் என்று திரு நரேந்திர சிங் தோமர் கூறினார்.

• India hosted the second Agriculture Ministerial Meeting of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation chaired by Union Agriculture Minister Shri Narendra Singh Tomar.
• Agriculture Ministers of Bhutan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Thailand participated in this meeting.
• Addressing the meeting through video-conferencing, Mr. Tomar urged member states to cooperate in establishing a comprehensive regional action plan to strengthen cooperation on agricultural transformation.
• Mentioning the importance of small grains, he said it is nutritious. He highlighted India's efforts to popularize small grains.
• With 2023 being the International Year of Small Grains, he urged Member States to adopt sustainable agriculture and provide healthy food for all.
• He asked for cooperation in India's efforts to popularize small grains as a food. Shri Narendra Singh Tomar said that natural and ecological agriculture should conserve agro-biodiversity and reduce chemical use.
