• தீவிரவாதத்துக்கு நிதியுதவி கிடைப்பதை தடுக்க வகை செய்யும் 3-வது அமைச்சர்கள் மாநாடு டெல்லியில் தொடங்கியது. தீவிரவாதத்துக்கு நிதி இல்லை என்ற கருப்பொருளில் இந்த மாநாடு நடைபெறுகிறது.
• 2 நாள் நடைபெறும் இம்மாநாட்டின் தொடக்க நாளான நேற்றைய நிகழ்வில் பிரதமர் நரேந்திர மோடி உரையாற்றினார்.
• இந்த மாநாட்டில் உள்துறை அமைச்சர் திரு.அமித் ஷா, உள்துறை இணையமைச்சர் திரு.நித்யானந்த ராய், உள்துறை செயலாளர் திரு.அஜய்குமார் பல்லா, தேசிய புலனாய்வு அமைப்பின் தலைமை இயக்குநர் திரு.தினகர் குப்தா உள்ளிட்டோர் கலந்து கொண்டனர்.

பின்னணி

• நவம்பர் 18 மற்றும் 19 தேதிகளில் ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ள இந்த இரண்டு நாள் மாநாட்டில், பயங்கரவாதத்திற்கு எதிரான நடவடிக்கைகள், பயங்கரவாதத்தைத் தடுப்பதற்கான நிதியுதவி மற்றும் அதிகரிக்கும் சவால்களை எதிர்கொள்ளத் தேவையான நடவடிக்கைகள் குறித்து விவாதிக்கப்படும். 
• தற்போதைய சர்வதேச செயல்திறனைப் பற்றி விவாதிக்க, பங்கேற்கும் நாடுகள் மற்றும் அமைப்புகளுக்கு இது ஒரு வாய்ப்பை வழங்கும். இந்த மாநாடு முந்தைய இரண்டு மாநாடுகளின் மூலம் (ஏப்ரல் 2018-ல் பாரிஸில் நடந்த மாநாடு மற்றும் நவம்பர் 2019- ல் மெல்போர்னில் நடந்த மாநாடு) பெற்ற பலன்கள் மற்றும் அனுபவங்களின் அடிப்படையில் நடத்தப்படும்.

• அமைச்சர்கள், பல்வேறு அமைப்புகளின் தலைவர்கள் மற்றும் நிதி நடவடிக்கை பணிக்குழு பிரதிநிதிகள் குழுவின் தலைவர்கள் உட்பட உலகம் முழுவதிலுமிருந்து சுமார் 450 பிரதிநிதிகள் இந்த இரண்டு நாள் மாநாட்டில் கலந்துகொள்வார்கள்.

• The 3rd Ministerial Conference on Countering Terrorism Financing started in Delhi. The conference is being held on the theme of No Funding for Terrorism. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the inaugural function of the 2-day conference yesterday.
• Home Minister Mr. Amit Shah, Minister of State for Home Affairs Mr. Nithyananda Roy, Home Secretary Mr. Ajay Kumar Bhalla, Director General of National Intelligence Organization Mr. Tinakar Gupta and others participated in this conference.

Background

• Organized on November 18 and 19, the two-day conference will discuss counter-terrorism measures, counter-terrorism financing and measures needed to address the growing challenges.
• It will provide an opportunity for participating countries and organizations to discuss current international performance. This conference will build on the benefits and experiences gained from the previous two conferences (Paris in April 2018 and Melbourne in November 2019).
• It will discuss activities aimed at enhancing global cooperation to prevent terrorist financing and access to relevant jurisdictions.
• About 450 delegates from across the world, including ministers, heads of various organizations and heads of the Financial Action Task Force delegation, will attend the two-day conference.
• During the conference, four sessions will be held on 'Global Trends in Terrorism and Terrorist Financing', 'Usage of Formal and Informal Financing of Terrorism', 'Emerging Technologies and Financing of Terrorism' and 'International Cooperation on Countering Terrorist Financing Challenges'.
