சிறுதானியங்கள் மற்றும் மதிப்புக் கூட்டிய பொருட்களின் ஏற்றுமதியை அதிகரிக்க செயல்திட்டம் / SCHEME TO INCREASE EXPORTS OF SMALL GRAIN AND VALUE ADDED PRODUCTS

• சத்துள்ள தானியங்களின் ஏற்றுமதியை அதிகரிக்க மத்திய தொழில் வர்த்தக அமைச்சகம் அதன் உயர்நிலை வேளாண் ஏற்றுமதி மேம்பாட்டு அமைப்பான, வேளாண் மற்றும் பதப்படுத்தப்பட்ட உணவுப் பொருட்கள் ஏற்றுமதி மேம்பாட்டு ஆணையம் மூலம் வரும் டிசம்பரில் இந்திய சிறுதானியங்கள் ஏற்றுமதியை மேம்படுத்த விரிவான திட்டத்தை தயாரித்துள்ளது.
• இந்தியாவின் முன்மொழிவை ஐநா பொதுச்சபையின் 72 நாடுகள்  ஆதரவு அளித்து 2021 மார்ச் 5 அன்று 2023-ஐ சர்வதேச சிறுதானியங்கள் ஆண்டாக அறிவித்த பின்னணியில் இந்த சிறுதானியங்கள் ஏற்றுமதி மேம்பாட்டுத் திட்டம் வந்துள்ளது. 
• இந்திய சிறுதானியங்களையும், அவற்றின் மதிப்புக் கூட்டு பொருட்களையும் உலகம் முழுவதும் பிரபலப்படுத்தி மக்கள் இயக்கமாக மாற்றுவதற்கு உள்நாடு மற்றும் சர்வதேச நிலையில் தற்போது சர்வதேச சிறுதானியங்கள் ஆண்டு 2023-க்கு அரசு ஏற்பாடு செய்து வருகிறது.
• இந்திய சிறுதானியங்கள் ஏற்றுமதியை அதிகரிக்க 16 சர்வதேச வர்த்தகக் கண்காட்சிகள் மற்றும் வாங்குவோர், விற்போர் சந்திப்புகள்  ஆகியவற்றில் ஏற்றுமதியாளர்கள், விவசாயிகள், வர்த்தகர்கள் பங்களிப்புக்கு மத்திய அரசு திட்டமிட்டுள்ளது.
•  உலகில் சிறுதானியங்கள் உற்பத்தியில் முன்னிலை வகிக்கும் நாடுகளில் ஒன்றாக  உள்ள இந்தியாவின் சிறுதானியங்கள் உற்பத்தி 2020-21-ஐ விட, 2021-22-ல் 27 சதவீதம் அதிகரித்துள்ளது. 
• ராஜஸ்தான், மகாராஷ்டிரா, மத்தியப்பிரதேசம், கர்நாடகா, குஜராத் ஆகிய மாநிலங்கள் சிறுதானியங்கள் உற்பத்தியில் முதன்மை வகிப்பவையாகும்.  
• மொத்த சிறுதானியங்கள் உற்பத்தியில் 1 சதவீதம் ஏற்றுமதியாகிறது. தற்போதுள்ள 9 பில்லியன் அமெரிக்க டாலர் என்ற சிறுதானியங்களின் சந்தை அளவு 2025 வாக்கில் 12 பில்லியன் அமெரிக்க டாலராக அதிகரிக்கும் என்று மதிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• நூடுல்ஸ், பாஸ்தா, காலை சிற்றுண்டிக்கான தானியங்கள் கலவை,  பிஸ்கெட்டுகள், இனிப்பு வகைகள், காரவகைகள் போன்ற உண்பதற்கு தயாரான, பரிமாறத் தயாரான நிலையில்  மதிப்புக் கூட்டுப்பொருட்களின் ஏற்றுமதி அதிகரிப்புக்கான புதிய தொழில்களையும் அரசு ஊக்கப்படுத்தி வருகிறது.
• இந்தியாவின் சிறுதானியங்கள் அமெரிக்கா, பிரிட்டன், ஏமன், எகிப்து, துனிஷியா, ஓமன், சவுதி அரேபியா, லிபியா, நேபாளம், ஐக்கிய அரபு எமிரேட்ஸ் ஆகியவை இந்தியாவிலிருந்து சிறுதானியங்கள் ஏற்றுமதி செய்யப்படும் நாடுகளாகும். கம்பு, சோளம், கேழ்வரகு, கடலை உட்பட 16 வகையான சிறுதானியங்கள் இந்தியாவிலிருந்து ஏற்றுமதி செய்யப்படுகின்றன.

• To boost exports of nutritious grains, the Union Ministry of Industry and Commerce through its apex agricultural export promotion body, the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Promotion Authority, has prepared a comprehensive plan to boost India's small grains exports in December.
• This small grains export development plan comes in the backdrop of India's proposal being supported by 72 countries of the UN General Assembly on March 5, 2021 declaring 2023 as the International Year of Small Grains.
• The government is currently organizing the International Year of Small Grains 2023 at domestic and international levels to popularize Indian small grains and their value-added products all over the world and turn them into a people's movement.
• The central government has planned participation of exporters, farmers and traders in 16 international trade fairs and buyers' and sellers' meetings to increase Indian small grains exports.
• One of the world's leading producers of small grains, India's production of small grains has increased by 27 percent in 2021-22 over 2020-21. Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka and Gujarat are major producers of small grains.
• 1 percent of the total small grains production is exported. The market size of small grains is estimated to increase from USD 9 billion to USD 12 billion by 2025.
• The government is also encouraging new industries to increase exports of ready-to-eat, ready-to-serve value-added products such as noodles, pasta, breakfast cereals, biscuits, desserts, condiments.
• Small grains of India America, Britain, Yemen, Egypt, Tunisia, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Nepal, United Arab Emirates are the countries where small grains are exported from India. 16 types of small grains including rye, sorghum, millet, groundnut are exported from India.
