இந்திய கடலோரக் காவல்படையின் 840 என்ற புதிய படைப்பிரிவு / REGIMENT OF 804 IN INDIAN COAST GUARD

• இந்திய கடலோரக் காவல்படையின் கிழக்குப் பிராந்தியத்தில் ரோந்துப்பணியை வலுப்படுத்துவதற்கான பெரும் ஊக்குவிப்பாக புதிய இலகுரக நவீன ஹெலிகாப்டர் வசதியுடன் கூடிய 840 என்ற புதிய படைப்பிரிவை கடலோர காவல்படை தலைமை இயக்குனர் வி எஸ் பதானியா தொடங்கி வைத்தார். 
• ஹெலிகாப்டர் உற்பத்தியில் தற்சார்பு நிலையை எட்டும் வகையில் மத்திய அரசின் தற்சார்பு இந்தியா என்ற திட்டத்தின் அடிப்படையில் இந்த இலகு ரக ஹெலிகாப்டர் எம்கே3, இந்துஸ்தான் ஏரோநாட்டிகல் நிறுவனத்தில் தயாரிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. 
• இந்த புதிய படைப்பிரிவு  தமிழ்நாடு, ஆந்திரா மாநிலங்களில் உள்ள பாதுகாப்பு முக்கியத்துவம் வாய்ந்த கடல் பகுதியில் இந்திய கடலோர காவல்படையின் திறன்களை மேம்படுத்தும்.

• Director General of Coast Guard VS Pathania inaugurated a new squadron 840 equipped with new light modern helicopter as a major boost to strengthen patrolling in the eastern region of the Indian Coast Guard.
• This light helicopter MK3 has been manufactured by Hindustan Aeronautical Company based on the Central Government's Self-Reliance India program to achieve self-reliance in helicopter production.
• The new squadron will enhance the capabilities of the Indian Coast Guard in the security critical waters off the states of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.
