லாட்டரி சீட்டு தடை / BAN ON LOTTERY TICKET

• தமிழகத்தில் ஆண்கள் பெண்கள் என பலரும் அதிர்ஷ்டத்தை நம்பி கையில் உள்ள பணத்திற்கு லாட்டரி சீட்டுகளை வாங்கி வீணாய்ப் போய்க்கொண்டிருந்த போது, அதன் ஆபத்தை உணர்ந்து, 2003 ஆம் ஆண்டு லாட்டரி சீட்டை முற்றிலும் தடை செய்தார்.
• பல ஆயிரம் கோடிகள் பணம் புழங்கும் லாட்டரியை தடை செய்வதால் சில ஆயிரம் பேர்கள் வேலை இழப்பார்கள். 
• இதனால், தமிழகத்தின் வருமானத்தில் பாதிப்பை ஏற்படுத்தும் என்று கூறி நூற்றுக்கணக்கில் லாட்டரி விற்பனை செய்யும் ஊழியர்களைத் திரட்டி அப்போது சென்னையில் ஆர்ப்பாட்டம் நடத்தினார்கள். 
• ஆனாலும், ஜெயலலிதா தனது முடிவில் பின்வாங்காமல் ஏழை எளிய மக்களை பாதிக்கிற லாட்டரி சீட்டை முற்றிலுமாக ஒழிப்பதில் உறுதியாக இருந்தார்.
• கேரளா, சிக்கிம், மணிப்பூர் லாட்டரி என்று லாட்டரி அதிர்ஷ்டம் என்ற மூடநம்பிக்கையை மூலதனமாகக் கொண்டு ஏழை எளிய மக்களை சுரண்டுகிற லாட்டரி தொழில் இன்று தமிழகத்தில் இல்லையென்றால் அதற்கு ஜெயலலிதாவே காரணம்.

• When many men and women in Tamil Nadu were relying on luck and buying lottery tickets with the money they had, he realized the danger and banned lottery tickets completely in 2003.
• A few thousand people will lose their jobs because of the ban on the multi-billion-crore lottery. Due to this, they gathered hundreds of lottery selling employees and staged a demonstration in Chennai saying that it would affect the income of Tamil Nadu. 
• However, Jayalalithaa did not back down from her decision and was determined to completely abolish the lottery ticket which affected the poor.
• Kerala, Sikkim, Manipur Lottery is the reason for Jayalalithaa if there is no lottery industry in Tamil Nadu today that exploits the poor people by capitalizing on the superstition of lottery luck.
