• ஜல் சக்தி அமைச்சகம், GOI ‘சுஜலம்’ பிரச்சாரத்தைத் தொடங்கியுள்ளது
• கிராம அளவில் கழிவு நீர் மேலாண்மையை மேற்கொள்வதன் மூலம் திறந்தவெளி மலம் கழித்தல் இல்லாத (ஓடிஎஃப்) கிராமங்களை உருவாக்குவதற்கான பிரச்சாரம் தொடங்கப்பட்டது.
• இது 100 நாள் நீண்ட பிரச்சாரம் மற்றும் 'ஆசாதி கா அம்ரித் மஹோத்சவ்' பகுதியாகும்.
• குறுகிய காலத்தில் கடுமையான அளவில் இந்தியாவில் உள்ள கிராமங்களுக்கு ODF பிளஸ் அந்தஸ்தை அடைய இந்த பிரச்சாரம் செயல்படுத்தப்படும்.
• உறுப்பினர்கள் ஒரு மில்லியன் ஊறவைத்தல்-குழிகளை உருவாக்குவதன் மூலம் பிரச்சாரத்தை செயல்படுத்துவார்கள் மற்றும் பிற கிரேவாட்டர் மேலாண்மை நடவடிக்கைகளை மேற்கொள்வார்கள். இது நீர்நிலைகளின் நிலையான மேலாண்மையை அடையவும் உதவும்.
• இதன் மூலம் கிராமங்கள் அல்லது கிராமங்களின் புறநகர் பகுதிகளில் உள்ள கழிவுநீரை அகற்றுவது மற்றும் நீர்நிலைகளில் அடைப்பு ஏற்படுவது போன்ற பிரச்னைகளுக்கு தீர்வு கிடைக்கும்.
• இந்த 100 நாள் பிரச்சாரத்தின் மூலம் நீர்நிலைகள் புத்துயிர் பெறும்.
• ஸ்வச் பாரத் மிஷன் கிராமின் இரண்டாம் கட்டத்தின் கீழ் சமூகப் பங்கேற்பை ஊக்குவித்தல் மற்றும் ODF-பிளஸ் செயல்பாடுகள் பற்றிய விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்துவதன் மூலம் ‘சுஜலம்’ பிரச்சாரம் மோட்டோவை மேம்படுத்தவும் செயல்படும்.
• பிரச்சாரத்தின் தற்போதைய நிலையை ஆய்வு செய்ய சமூக ஆலோசனைகள், கிராமசபை கூட்டங்கள் போன்ற பல்வேறு நடவடிக்கைகள் ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்படும்.
• 1 மில்லியன் ஊறவைக்கும் குழிகள் கட்டுதல், கழிப்பறைகளை மறுசீரமைத்தல் மற்றும் புதிய வீடுகளுக்கு கழிப்பறைகளை அணுகுதல் ஆகியவற்றில் பிரச்சாரம் கவனம் செலுத்தும்.

• The Ministry of Jal Shakti, GOI has launched the ‘SUJALAM’ Campaign
• The campaign was launched to create Open Defecation Free (ODF) plus villages by undertaking wastewater management at the village level.
• It is a 100-day long campaign and is part of the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’.
• The campaign will be executed to attain ODF plus status for villages in India at the rigorous level in a short span of time.
• The members will execute the campaign by creating one million soak-pits and also other adopting greywater management activities. This will also help to achieve sustainable management of water bodies.
• This will solve the problem of disposal of wastewater and clogging of water bodies in the villages or on the outskirts of the villages.
• Thus waterbodies will be revived through this 100-day long campaign.
• The ‘SUJALAM’ Campaign will also work to enhance the moto under Swachch Bharat Mission Grameen Phase II by encouraging community participation and making awareness about ODF-plus activities.
• Various activities like organizing community consultations, gram sabha meetings etc will be organised to analyse the current status of the campaign.
• The campaign will focus on constructing 1 million soak pits, retrofitting toilets and access of toilets to the new houses.
