• இந்தியா முழுவதும் உள்ள அனைத்து குழந்தைகளுக்கும் நோய்த்தடுப்பு கவரேஜை விரிவுபடுத்தும் நோக்கத்துடன் 25 டிசம்பர் 2014 அன்று சுகாதாரம் மற்றும் குடும்ப நல அமைச்சகத்தால் (MOHFW) மிஷன் இந்திரதனுஷ் (MI) தொடங்கப்பட்டது. 
• இந்தியாவில் உள்ள சமூக-பொருளாதார, கலாச்சார மற்றும் புவியியல் ஸ்பெக்ட்ரம் முழுவதும் உள்ள குழந்தைகளுக்கு இந்த திட்டத்தின் கீழ் தடுப்பூசி போடப்படுகிறது. 
• இந்த முயற்சியின் மகத்தான பணி ஒரு ஒருங்கிணைந்த மற்றும் உறுதியான பணிக்குழுவின் ஆதரவுடன் நிறைவேற்றப்படுகிறது, இது முழு நோய்த்தடுப்பு கவரேஜை உறுதி செய்கிறது. 
• ஒவ்வொரு MI செயல்படுத்தலும் கடைசி விவரத்திற்கு திட்டமிடப்பட்டுள்ளது; எந்தெந்த இடங்களில் குழந்தைகளுக்கு தடுப்பூசி போட வேண்டும், முகாமுக்கு என்னென்ன தடுப்பூசிகள் போட வேண்டும் என்று திட்டமிடுவது முதல்.

குறிக்கோள்

• இந்திரதனுஷ் திட்டம், தடுப்பூசி போடாத அல்லது ஓரளவு தடுப்பூசி போடப்பட்ட அனைத்து குழந்தைகளுக்கும் தடுப்பூசி மூலம் தடுக்கக்கூடிய நோய்களுக்கு எதிராக காப்பீடு செய்வதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது. 
• இந்தியாவின் உலகளாவிய நோய்த்தடுப்புத் திட்டம் (UIP) ஆண்டுதோறும் 26 மில்லியன் குழந்தைகளுக்கு 12 உயிருக்கு ஆபத்தான நோய்களுக்கு எதிராக இலவச தடுப்பூசிகளை வழங்குகிறது. 
• காசநோய், டிப்தீரியா, பெர்டுசிஸ், டெட்டனஸ், போலியோ, ஹெபடைடிஸ் பி, நிமோனியா மற்றும் ஹீமோபிலஸ் இன்ஃப்ளூயன்ஸா வகை b (Hib), தட்டம்மை, தட்டம்மை போன்றவற்றால் ஏற்படும் மூளைக்காய்ச்சல் ஆகியவற்றிலிருந்து பாதுகாக்க, உலகளாவிய நோய்த்தடுப்புத் திட்டம், நாடு முழுவதும் உள்ள அனைத்து குழந்தைகளுக்கும் உயிர்காக்கும் தடுப்பூசிகளை இலவசமாக வழங்குகிறது.
• ரூபெல்லா, ஜப்பானிய மூளைக்காய்ச்சல் (JE) மற்றும் ரோட்டா வைரஸ் வயிற்றுப்போக்கு. (தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்ட மாநிலங்கள் மற்றும் மாவட்டங்களில் ரூபெல்லா, ஜேஇ மற்றும் ரோட்டா வைரஸ் தடுப்பூசி).

செயல்படுத்தல்

• கவனம் செலுத்தப்பட்ட மற்றும் முறையான நோய்த்தடுப்பு இயக்கம் "கேட்ச்-அப்" பிரச்சார பயன்முறையில் இருக்கும், இதன் நோக்கம் நோய்த்தடுப்பு மருந்துக்காக விடுபட்ட அல்லது தவறவிட்ட அனைத்து குழந்தைகளையும் உள்ளடக்குவதாகும். 
• மேலும் கர்ப்பிணிப் பெண்களுக்கு டெட்டனஸ் தடுப்பூசி போடப்படுகிறது, ORS பாக்கெட்டுகள் மற்றும் துத்தநாக மாத்திரைகள் கடுமையான வயிற்றுப்போக்கு அல்லது நீரிழப்பு ஏற்பட்டால் பயன்படுத்த விநியோகிக்கப்படுகின்றன மற்றும் குழந்தைகளுக்கு நோய் எதிர்ப்பு சக்தியை அதிகரிக்க வைட்டமின் A அளவுகள் வழங்கப்படுகின்றன.
• மிஷன் இந்திரதனுஷ் முதல் கட்டம் 2015 ஏப்ரல் 7 முதல் வாரகால சிறப்பு தீவிர நோய்த்தடுப்பு இயக்கமாக 201 அதிக கவனம் செலுத்தும் மாவட்டங்களில் தொடர்ந்து நான்கு மாதங்களுக்கு தொடங்கப்பட்டது. 
• இந்த கட்டத்தில், 75 லட்சத்திற்கும் அதிகமான குழந்தைகளுக்கு தடுப்பூசி போடப்பட்டது, அதில் 20 லட்சம் குழந்தைகளுக்கு முழுமையாக தடுப்பூசி போடப்பட்டது மற்றும் 20 லட்சத்திற்கும் அதிகமான கர்ப்பிணிப் பெண்களுக்கு டெட்டனஸ் டாக்ஸாய்டு தடுப்பூசி போடப்பட்டது.
• இந்திரதனுஷ் திட்டத்தின் இரண்டாம் கட்டமானது நாட்டில் உள்ள 352 மாவட்டங்களை உள்ளடக்கியது, அவற்றில் 279 நடுத்தர கவனம் செலுத்தும் மாவட்டங்கள் மற்றும் மீதமுள்ள 73 மாவட்டங்கள் கட்டம்-I இன் அதிக கவனம் செலுத்தும் மாவட்டங்கள் ஆகும். 
• இந்திரதனுஷ் பணியின் இரண்டாம் கட்டத்தின் போது, அக்டோபர் 2015 முதல் வார கால அளவிலான நான்கு சிறப்பு இயக்கங்கள் நடத்தப்பட்டன.
• சிறப்பு இயக்கத்தின் I மற்றும் II கட்டங்களில் 1.48 கோடி குழந்தைகள் மற்றும் 38 லட்சம் கர்ப்பிணிப் பெண்களுக்கு கூடுதலாக தடுப்பூசி போடப்பட்டது. 
• இவற்றில் கிட்டத்தட்ட 39 லட்சம் குழந்தைகள் மற்றும் 20 லட்சத்துக்கும் மேற்பட்ட கர்ப்பிணிப் பெண்களுக்கு கூடுதலாக முழு தடுப்பூசி போடப்பட்டுள்ளது. 
• நாடு முழுவதும் அதிக மற்றும் நடுத்தர முன்னுரிமை மாவட்டங்களில் நடத்தப்பட்ட 21.3 லட்சம் அமர்வுகளில், 3.66 கோடிக்கும் அதிகமான ஆன்டிஜென்கள் நிர்வகிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.
• இந்திரதனுஷ் திட்டத்தின் மூன்றாம் கட்டம் 7 ஏப்ரல் 2016 முதல் 216 மாவட்டங்களை உள்ளடக்கியது. இந்த மாவட்டங்களில் 2016 ஏப்ரல் மற்றும் ஜூலை மாதங்களுக்கு இடைப்பட்ட காலத்தில் ஏழு நாட்களுக்கு நான்கு தீவிர நோய்த்தடுப்பு சுற்றுகள் நடத்தப்பட்டன. 
• இந்த 216 மாவட்டங்கள், முழு நோய்த்தடுப்பு கவரேஜ் 60 சதவீதத்திற்கும் குறைவாகவும், இடைநிற்றல் விகிதங்கள் அதிகமாகவும் இருக்கும் மதிப்பீடுகளின் அடிப்படையில் அடையாளம் காணப்பட்டுள்ளன. 
• 2 வயதுக்குட்பட்ட குழந்தைகளின் தரம் தவிர, 5 வயது குழந்தைகள் மற்றும் DPT பூஸ்டர் கவரேஜை அதிகரிப்பது மற்றும் கர்ப்பிணிப் பெண்களுக்கு டெட்டானஸ் டாக்ஸாய்டு ஊசிகளை வழங்குவது ஆகியவற்றிலும் கவனம் செலுத்துகிறது.
• ஒட்டுமொத்தமாக, முதல் மூன்று கட்டங்களில், 28.7 லட்சம் தடுப்பூசி அமர்வுகள் நடத்தப்பட்டன, இதில் 2.1 கோடி குழந்தைகளுக்கு முழுமையாக தடுப்பூசி போடப்பட்டது. மேலும், அதிக கவனம் செலுத்தும் 497 மாவட்டங்களில் 55.9 லட்சம் கர்ப்பிணிப் பெண்களுக்கு டெட்டனஸ் டாக்ஸாய்டு தடுப்பூசி போடப்பட்டது. 
• இந்திரதனுஷ் இயக்கம் தொடங்கப்பட்டதிலிருந்து, முழு நோய்த்தடுப்பு கவரேஜ் 5 சதவீதம் முதல் 7 சதவீதம் வரை அதிகரித்துள்ளது. இந்திரதனுஷ் திட்டமானது, நோய்த்தடுப்புக் காப்பீட்டில் ஆண்டுக்கு 6.7% விரிவாக்கத்தை ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது.
• அருணாச்சல பிரதேசம், அசாம், மணிப்பூர், மேகாலயா, மிசோரம், நாகாலாந்து, சிக்கிம் மற்றும் திரிபுரா ஆகிய வடகிழக்கு மாநிலங்களை உள்ளடக்கிய இந்திரதனுஷ் திட்டத்தின் நான்காம் கட்டம் 7 பிப்ரவரி 2017 முதல் தொடங்கப்பட்டது. இது ஏப்ரல் 2017 இல் நாட்டின் பிற பகுதிகளில் வெளியிடப்பட்டது.
• மிஷன் இந்திரதனுஷ் திட்டத்தின் நான்கு கட்டங்களில் 2.53 கோடிக்கும் அதிகமான குழந்தைகள் மற்றும் 68 லட்சம் கர்ப்பிணிப் பெண்களுக்கு உயிர்காக்கும் தடுப்பூசிகள் கிடைத்துள்ளன.
• இந்திரதனுஷ் திட்டத்தின் ஐந்தாம் கட்டம் குறைந்த செயல்திறன் கொண்ட 190 மாவட்டங்களில் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டது. இந்திரதனுஷ் திட்டத்தின் ஆறு கட்டங்களின் முடிவில், நாடு முழுவதும் உள்ள 554 மாவட்டங்கள் மூடப்பட்டன. 
• தீவிரப்படுத்தப்பட்ட மிஷன் இந்திரதனுஷ் (மிஷன் இந்திரதனுஷின் 5வது கட்டம்) 190 மாவட்டங்களில் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்ட ஒரு கணக்கெடுப்பு (IMI-CES) NFHS-4 உடன் ஒப்பிடும்போது முழு நோய்த்தடுப்பு கவரேஜில் 18.5% புள்ளிகள் அதிகரித்துள்ளது.
• ஏழு கட்டங்கள் (ஏப்ரல் 2015 முதல் மார்ச் 2020 வரை) நிறைவடைந்த நிலையில், 690 மாவட்டங்களில் 3.76 கோடி குழந்தைகள் அடைந்து, 94.6 லட்சம் கர்ப்பிணிப் பெண்களுக்கு தடுப்பூசி போடப்பட்டது. 
• ஏப்ரல் 2021 நிலவரப்படி, இந்திரதனுஷ் திட்டத்தின் பல்வேறு கட்டங்களில், மொத்தம் 3.86 கோடி குழந்தைகள் மற்றும் 96.8 லட்சம் கர்ப்பிணிப் பெண்களுக்கு தடுப்பூசி போடப்பட்டுள்ளது.

ENGLISH

• Mission Indradhanush (MI) was launched by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW) on 25th December 2014 with the aim of expanding immunization coverage to all children across India. Children across socio-economic, cultural and geographical spectrums in India, are being immunized under this program. 
• The initiative's mammoth task is being fulfilled with the support of an integrated and committed task-force, ensuring full immunization coverage. Every MI activation is planned to the last detail; from planning where camps will be set up to which children need to get vaccinated and what vaccinations will be required for the camp. 

Objective

• The Mission Indradhanush aims to cover all those children who are either unvaccinated, or are partially vaccinated against vaccine preventable diseases. India’s Universal Immunisation Programme (UIP) provide free vaccines against 12 life threatening diseases, to 26 million children annually. 
•  The Universal Immunization Programme provides life-saving vaccines to all children across the country free of cost to protect them against Tuberculosis, Diphtheria, Pertussis, Tetanus, Polio, Hepatitis B, Pneumonia and Meningitis due to Haemophilus Influenzae type b (Hib), Measles, Rubella, Japanese Encephalitis (JE) and Rotavirus diarrhoea. (Rubella, JE and Rotavirus vaccine in select states and districts).

Implementation

• Focused and systematic immunization drive will be through a “catch-up” campaign mode where the aim is to cover all the children who have been left out or missed out for immunization. Also the pregnant women are administered the tetanus vaccine, ORS packets and zinc tablets are distributed for use in the event of severe diarrhoea or dehydration and vitamin A doses are administered to boost child immunity.
• Mission Indradhanush Phase I was started as a weeklong special intensified immunization drive from 7th April 2015 in 201 high focus districts for four consecutive months. During this phase, more than 75 lakh children were vaccinated of which 20 lakh children were fully vaccinated and more than 20 lakh pregnant women received tetanus toxoid vaccine.
• The Phase II of Mission Indradhanush covered 352 districts in the country of which 279 are medium focus districts and remaining 73 are high focus districts of Phase-I. During Phase II of Mission Indradhanush, four special drives of weeklong duration were conducted starting from October 2015.
• Phases I and II of the special drive had 1.48 crore children and 38 lakh pregnant women additionally immunized. Of these nearly 39 lakh children and more than 20 lakh pregnant women have been additionally fully immunized. Across 21.3 lakh sessions held through the country in high and mid-priority districts, more than 3.66 crore antigens have been administered.
• Phase III of Mission Indradhanush was launched from 7 April 2016 covering 216 districts. Four intensified immunization rounds were conducted for seven days in each between April and July 2016, in these districts. 
• These 216 districts have been identified on the basis of estimates where full immunization coverage is less than 60 per cent and have high dropout rates. Apart from the standard of children under 2, it also focussed on 5-year-olds and on increasing DPT booster coverage, and giving tetanus toxoid injections to pregnant women.
• Overall, in the first three phases, 28.7 lakh immunisation sessions were conducted, covering 2.1 crore children, of which 55 lakh were fully immunised. Also, 55.9 lakh pregnant women were given the tetanus toxoid vaccine across 497 high-focus districts. Since the launch of Mission Indhradhanush, full immunisation coverage has increased by 5 per cent to 7 per cent. Mission Indradhanush has resulted in a 6.7 % annual expansion in the immunization cover.
• Phase IV of Mission Indradhanush was launched from 7 February 2017 covering the North-eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura. It has been rolled out in rest of the country during April 2017.
• The four phases of Mission Indradhanush have reached to more than 2.53 crore children and 68 lakh pregnant women with life-saving vaccines.
• The fifth phase of Mission Indradhanush was carried out in 190 lowest performing districts. At the end of six phases of Mission Indradhanush, 554 districts across the country were covered. A survey (IMI- CES) carried out in 190 districts covered in Intensified Mission Indradhanush (5th phase of Mission Indradhanush) shows 18.5% points increase in full immunization coverage as compared to NFHS-4.
• On completion of seven phases (from April 2015 to March 2020), 690 districts wherein 3.76 crore children were reached and 94.6 lakh pregnant females were immunized. As of April 2021, during the various phases of Mission Indradhanush, a total of 3.86 crore children and 96.8 lakh pregnant women have been vaccinated.
