• தமிழ் உரைநடை வளர்ச்சிக்கும் திராவிடர் இயக்கம் ஆற்றியுள்ள பணி குறிப்பிடத்தக்கதாகும். கடினமான நடையில் இருந்த தமிழ் உரைநடை, திராவிட இயக்க தலைவர்கள் எழுதத் தொடங்கிய பிறகே, எளிய நடையில் எல்லோருக்கும் புரியும் வகையில் வெளிவரத் தொடங்கியது. 
• நாளிதழ்கள், வார இதழ்கள் என நூற்றுக்கும் மேற்பட்ட இதழ்கள் திராவிட இயக்கத் தலைவர்களால் வெளியிடப்பட்டன. அவற்றுள் விடுதலை, குடியரசு, திராவிட நாடு, நம் நாடு, முரசொலி, முத்தாரம், மன்றம், தென்றல் முதலிய இதழ்கள் முதன்மையானவை. 
• அவ்விதழ்களில் திராவிட இயக்கத் தலைவர்கள் எழுதிய கட்டுரைகள், கதைகள் ஆகியன மக்களிடையே அரசியல் மற்றும் சமுதாய விழிப்பு உணர்வை ஏற்படுத்தின. 
• அண்ணா எழுதிய ’ஆரிய மாயை, குமரிக் கோட்டம், பணத் தோட்டம்’ முதலிய நூல்களும், கலைஞர் எழுதிய ’ரோமாபுரிப் பாண்டியன், பொன்னர் சங்கர், குரளோவியம், தொல்காப்பியப் பூங்கா’ முதலிய நூல்களும், பேராசிரியர் அன்பழகன் எழுதிய ’தமிழர் திருமணமும் இனமானமும், தமிழ்க்கடல் அலைஓசை பரவும் தமிழ்மாட்சி’ ஆகிய நூல்களும் குறிப்பிடத்தகுந்தவை.
• எல்லாவற்றுக்கும் மேலாக, பக்தி இலக்கியங்களை மட்டும் தூக்கிப் பிடித்து உலகப்பொதுமறையாம் திருக்குறளை பன்னெடுங்காலமாக மறைத்து வந்த பார்ப்பனச் சூழ்ச்சியில் இருந்து திருக்குறளை மீட்டு, திருமண அழைப்பிதழ் முதல் அரசுப் பேருந்துகள், அலுவலங்கள் என அனைத்து இடங்களிலும், ஒவ்வொரு தமிழரின் உள்ளங்களிலும் கொண்டு சேர்த்தது திராவிட இயக்கங்களே ஆகும்.

• The work done by the Dravidian movement for the development of Tamil prose is significant. It was only after the Dravidian movement leaders began to write Tamil prose, which was in a difficult style, that it began to emerge in a simple style that everyone could understand. 
• More than a hundred periodicals like dailies and weeklies were published by the leaders of the Dravidian movement. Among them, magazines such as Vithuthya, Republica, Dravida Nadu, Nam Nadu, Murasoli, Mutharam, Munaram, Theral etc. are the foremost. 
• The articles and stories written by the leaders of the Dravidian movement in those articles created a sense of political and social awareness among the people. 
• Books such as 'Arya Maya, Kumarik Kotam, Panath Thotam' written by Anna, books like 'Romapurip Pandian, Ponnar Shankar, Kuraloviyam, Tolkappiyap Park' written by the artist and 'Tamil Marriage and Inamanum, Tamil Matshi with the sound of the Tamil Sea' written by Professor Anbazhagan are worth mentioning.
• Above all, it was the Dravidian movements that rescued Thirukkurala from the pious intrigues that had kept it hidden from the world for ages by holding only devotional literature and included it everywhere from wedding invitations to government buses and offices.
