• கலைஞர் கருணாநிதி ஆட்சியில் பெண்கள் நலத்திட்டங்கள் / WOMENS WELFARE SCHEME UNDER KARUNANTHI: ஏழை, எளிய குடும்பத்தினர் பயன்பெறும் வகையில் பெண்களின் திருமணத்துக்காக, மூவலூர் இராமாமிர்தம் அம்மையார் திருமண உதவித் திட்டம், அஞ்சுகம் அம்மையார் நினைவு கலப்புத் திருமண உதவித் திட்டம், டாக்டர் தர்மாம்பாள் அம்மையார் நினைவு விதவை மறுமணத் திட்டம், அன்னை தெரசா நினைவு ஆதரவற்ற பெண்கள் திருமண நிதியுதவித் திட்டம், ஈ.வே.ரா - நாகம்மையார் நினைவு மகளிர் இலவசப் பட்டப்படிப்புத் திட்டம், ஈ.வே.ரா - மணியம்மையார் நினைவு ஏழை விதவைகளின் மகள் திருமண உதவித் திட்டம், சத்தியவாணி முத்து அம்மையார் இலவசத் தையல் இயந்திரம் வழங்கும் திட்டம், டாக்டர் முத்துலட்சுமி ரெட்டி நினைவு மகப்பேறு நிதியுதவித் திட்டம், சத்தியா அம்மையார் குழந்தைகள் காப்பகங்கள் திட்டம், சிவகாமி அம்மையார் பெண் குழந்தைகள் பாதுகாப்புத் திட்டம், பங்காரு அம்மையார் மகளிர் குழுக்கள் திட்டம் ஆகியற்றின் மூலம், மகளிர் பயன்பெறுவதற்காகத் தி.மு.க அரசு பல கோடி ரூபாய்களை ஒதுக்கி அவர்களின் வாழ்க்கைத் திறனை மேம்படுத்தியது.
• மாற்றுத் திறனாளிகளை மனந்துகொள்ளும் மாற்றுத் திறனாளிகளுக்கு ஊக்க நிதி, விதவைகளின் குழந்தைகளுக்கு இலவசப் பாடநூல்களும், குறிப்பேடுகளும் வழங்கும் திட்டத்தைத் திமு.க அரசு தொடங்கி வைத்தது. 
• மகளிர் தொழில் முனைவோருக்கு நிதியுதவி வழங்கும் திட்டம் தொடங்கப்பட்டது, தொழில் மனை ஒதுக்கீட்டில் மகளிருக்கு முன்னுரிமை வழங்கப்பட்டது. 
• மீனவ மகளிர் கூட்டுறவு சங்கங்களுக்கு மோட்டார் பொருத்திய இலவச வாகனங்கள் வழங்கப்பட்டு, மீனவ மகளிர் மீன் விற்பனைக்கு உதவி செய்யப்பட்டது. 
• இந்தியாவிலேயே முதலாவதாக உள்ளாட்சித் தேர்தலில் பெண்களுக்கு 33 விழுக்காடு இட ஒதுக்கீடு வழங்கப்பட்டு, தமிழகம் முழுவதும் பல்லாயிரக்கணக்கான பெண்கள் உள்ளாட்சி நிர்வாகங்களில் பதவி வகிக்க ஆவனச் செய்யப்பட்டதும் தி.மு.க ஆட்சிக் காலத்தில்தான்.
• 1998-ம் ஆண்டு மகளிர் நடத்தும் நியாய விலைக் கடைகள் திறக்கப்பட்டன. 1999 ஜனவரி முதல் நாள் அன்று, மகளிர் சிறு வணிகக் கடன் திட்டம் தொடங்கப்பட்டது.

• For marriage of women to benefit poor and humble families, Muvalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Marriage Assistance Scheme, Anjugam Ammaiyar Memorial Intermarriage Assistance Scheme, Dr. Dharmambal Ammaiyar Memorial Widow Remarriage Scheme, Mother Teresa Memorial Destitute Women Marriage Funding Scheme, EVRA - Nagammaiyar Women's Memorial Free Degree Scheme, E.V.Ra - Maniyammaiyar Memorial Poor Widows Daughter Marriage Assistance Scheme, Sathyavani Muthu Ammaiyar Free Sewing Machine Scheme, Dr. Muthulakshmi Reddy Memorial Maternity Funding Scheme, Sathya Ammaiyar Children's Nursery Scheme, Sivakami Ammaiyar Girl Child Protection Scheme, Bangaru Through the Ammaiyar Women's Groups Scheme, the DMK government allocated crores of rupees for the benefit of women and improved their livelihoods.
• The DMK government has launched a scheme to provide incentives to differently-abled people who repent, free textbooks and notebooks to children of widows. A scheme to provide financial assistance to women entrepreneurs was launched, and women were given priority in allotment of industrial plots. 
• Free motorized vehicles were provided to fisherwomen cooperatives and fisherwomen were assisted in selling fish. It was during DMK's rule that 33 percent reservation was given to women in local government elections for the first time in India and tens of thousands of women were appointed to hold positions in local government administrations across Tamil Nadu.
• In 1998, women-run Fair Price Shops opened. On the first day of January 1999, the Women's Small Business Credit Scheme was launched.
