20th March - WORLD SPARROW DAY 2024 / உலக குருவி தினம் 2024: உலக சிட்டுக்குருவி தினத்தின் நோக்கம், வீட்டுக் குருவிகள் மற்றும் நகர்ப்புற சூழலில் உள்ள மற்ற பொதுவான பறவைகளின் அவலநிலை குறித்து பொதுமக்களுக்கு விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்துவதாகும். மார்ச் 20 ஆம் தேதி இந்த அனுசரிப்பு நாளாக நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. 

Eco-Sys Action Foundation (France), Nature Forever Society of India மற்றும் உலகெங்கிலும் உள்ள பல நிறுவனங்கள் திட்டத்தில் ஒத்துழைத்தன.

பறவைகளைப் பாதுகாப்பதன் அவசியத்தைப் பற்றிய விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்தவும், அதே சமயம் நமது ஏராளமான இயற்கை வளங்களின் அழகைக் கண்டு மகிழ்வதற்காகவும் ஒரு நாள் ஒதுக்கப்பட்டது. உலகின் பல நாடுகள் 2010 ஆம் ஆண்டு உலக சிட்டுக்குருவி தினத்தை துவக்கி வைத்தன.

சிட்டுக்குருவிகள் நகர்ப்புற மற்றும் கிராமப்புறங்களில் காணப்படுகின்றன மற்றும் இரண்டிலும் செழித்து வளரக்கூடும். மனித வளர்ச்சியிலிருந்து வெகு தொலைவில் உள்ள வாழ்விடங்கள் மற்றும் காலநிலைகள், பரந்த அளவிலான சூழல்களில் காணப்படும் கொம்பு எறும்பினால் தவிர்க்கப்படுகின்றன.

20th March - WORLD SPARROW DAY 2024 / உலக குருவி தினம் 2024: நேச்சர் ஃபாரெவர் சொசைட்டியின் நிறுவனர் முகமது திலாவர் உலக சிட்டுக்குருவி தினத்தை உருவாக்கினார். 

இந்தியாவின் பொதுவான பறவைகள் கண்காணிப்புத் திட்டம் மற்றும் வருடாந்திர பல்லுயிர் புகைப்படப் போட்டி போன்ற திட்டங்கள் அவரால் தொடங்கப்பட்டன, 

அத்துடன் நமது சிட்டுக்குருவிகளைக் காப்பாற்றும் திட்டம். 2010 ஆம் ஆண்டு தான் உலக சிட்டுக்குருவி தினம் ஆரம்பமாகியது. இதன் விளைவாக 2011 இல் உலக குருவி விருதுகள் தொடங்கப்பட்டன. சுற்றுச்சூழல் பாதுகாப்பு மற்றும் பொதுவான உயிரினங்களின் பாதுகாப்பு ஆகியவை இந்த கௌரவத்தின் மையமாக உள்ளன.

நேச்சர் ஃபாரெவர் சொசைட்டியின் அலுவலகத்தில் ஒரு முறைசாரா அரட்டை உலக சிட்டுக்குருவி தினம் என்ற கருத்துக்கு வழிவகுத்தது. இதையும் மற்ற பொதுவான பறவைகளையும் பாதுகாக்க வேண்டியதன் அவசியத்தைப் பற்றிய விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்துவதற்காகவும், அதோடு நமது ஏராளமான இயற்கை வளங்களின் அழகை நினைவுபடுத்துவதற்காகவும், வீட்டுக் குருவியைக் கௌரவிக்க ஒரு நாளை நியமிப்பதே இதன் நோக்கமாகும்.

20th March - WORLD SPARROW DAY 2024 / உலக குருவி தினம் 2024: The purpose of World Sparrow Day is to increase public awareness about the plight of the House Sparrow and other common birds of urban environments.

The 20th of March is designated as the day for this observance. Eco-Sys Action Foundation (France), Nature Forever Society of India, and a number of other organizations from across the world collaborated on the project.

A day set aside to honor the House Sparrow was intended to raise awareness about the need for bird conservation while also serving as a time to enjoy the beauty of our abundant natural resources, which are often taken for granted. Several countries throughout the world marked the inaugural World Sparrow Day in 2010.

Sparrows sight in both urban and rural areas and may thrive in both. Habitats and climates that are far from human development tend to be avoided by the antlered ant, which is found in a wide range of environments. 

The sparrow occupies a major place in popular culture due to its large population, widespread distribution, and close relationship with human settlements. Let us take a look at when is World Sparrow Day for 2023.

History

20th March - WORLD SPARROW DAY 2024: Mohammed Dilawar, the founder of the Nature Forever Society, created World Sparrow Day. Projects such as India’s Common Bird Monitoring Program and the yearly biodiversity Photo Contest were launched by him, as well as Project Save Our Sparrows. 

It was in 2010 that the inaugural World Sparrow Day was organized. The World Sparrow Awards were launched in 2011 as a result. Environmental conservation and the protection of common species are the focus of this honor.

An informal chat in the Nature Forever Society’s office led to the concept of a World Sparrow Day. The aim was to designate a day to honor the House Sparrow in order to raise awareness about the need of protecting this and other common birds, as well as to commemorate the beauty of our abundant natural resources, which are often taken for granted. Several countries throughout the world marked the inaugural World Sparrow Day in 2010.

People who are striving to conserve the House Sparrow may network, collaborate, and exchange conservation ideas on the World Sparrow Day platform. This will lead to better science and better outcomes in the long run.

World Sparrow Day Theme 2024

The main goal is to spread awareness about the increasing pollution worldwide. Pollution is the main cause of the extinction of many species of birds and animals.

Facts about World Sparrows day

20th March - WORLD SPARROW DAY 2024: Most people have seen a House Sparrow (Passer domesticus) at some point in their lives. After being spread over the globe by European immigrants, the flora and fauna of Europe may today be found on two-thirds of the planet’s landmasses.

For centuries, residents in South India believed that if the House Sparrow made a nest in their homes, it would be a positive sign. The House Sparrow developed such a close relationship with humans that it was given the scientific name Passer domesticus, which means “domesticated bird.”

There is hope that more and more individuals would come out to commemorate the relationship that humans have had with sparrows throughout history. As a result of the topic, people from all walks of life can see how important it is to safeguard endangered species of birds and other wildlife.

There are a few exceptions to this rule, including China, Indochina, Japan, parts of Siberia, tropical Africa, and northern South America (Summers-Smith, 1988).
