• உலகின் பிற ஜனநாயக நாடுகளுடன் அதன் அறிவு, தொழில்நுட்ப நிபுணத்துவம், அனுபவங்களை பகிர்ந்து கொள்ளும் வகையில் நேர்மையான தேர்தல் மாநாடு நடத்தப்பட்டது.
• அங்கோலா, ஆர்மீனியா, ஆஸ்திரேலியா, கனடா, சிலி, கோஸ்டரிகா, குரேஷியா, டென்மார்க், டொமினிகா, ஜார்ஜியா, கயானா, கென்யா, கொரியா, மொரீஷியஸ், மால்டோவா, நார்வே, பிலிப்பைன்ஸ், போர்ச்சுகல் உள்ளிட்ட 31 நாடுகள்/தேர்தல் மேலாண்மை அமைப்புகளின் 59 பிரதிநிதிகள் காணொலி வாயிலாக இந்த மாநாட்டில் பங்கேற்றனர்.
• இதற்கு முன்னதாக நடப்பாண்டு ஜனவரியில் இந்திய தேர்தல் ஆணையம் 'தொழில்நுட்பத்தின் பயன்பாடு மற்றும் நியாயமான தேர்தல் நடைமுறை' என்ற தலைப்பில் தனது 2வது மாநாட்டை டெல்லியில் நடத்தியது. இதில்,16 நாடுகளைச் சேர்ந்த 40-க்கும்மேற்பட்ட பிரதிநிதிகள் கலந்துகொண்டனர்.
• ஜனநாயகத்திற்கான 2வது உச்சிமாநாடு மார்ச் 29-30 தேதிகளில் நடைபெறவுள்ள நிலையில், அதற்கு முன்னோட்டமாக இந்த சர்வதேச மாநாட்டினை தேர்தல் ஆணையம் நடத்தியுள்ளது என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

• An honest election conference was held to share its knowledge, technical expertise and experiences with other democracies of the world.
• 59 representatives of 31 countries/election management bodies including Angola, Armenia, Australia, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, Denmark, Dominica, Georgia, Guyana, Kenya, Korea, Mauritius, Moldova, Norway, Philippines, Portugal participated in this conference through video.
• Prior to this, in January this year, the Election Commission of India held its 2nd Conference on 'Use of Technology and Fair Electoral Procedure' in Delhi. More than 40 delegates from 16 countries participated in this.
• The 2nd Summit for Democracy is to be held on March 29-30, and it is noteworthy that the Election Commission has conducted this international conference as a preview.
