காந்தி அமைதி விருது 2021 / GANDHI PEACE PRIZE 2021

• மகாத்மா காந்தியடிகளின் 125-வது பிறந்த நாளான 1995-ம் ஆண்டு இந்திய அரசு அவரது பெயரில் காந்தி அமைதி விருது வழங்குவது என முடிவு செய்து ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் இந்த விருதுகளை வழங்கி வருகிறது.
• இந்த விருது இந்திய பிரதமர் நரேந்திர மோடி, இந்திய தலைமை நீதிபதி மற்றும் பாராளுமன்ற எதிர்க்கட்சி தலைவர் உள்ளிட்ட குழுவினரால் தேர்வு செய்யப்படுகிறது. இந்நிலையில், கடந்த 2021-ம் ஆண்டுக்கான காந்தி அமைதி விருதை உத்தர பிரதேச மாநிலம் கோரக்பூரில் உள்ள கீதா பிரஸ் பதிப்பகத்துக்கு வழங்கப்படுகிறது.
• உத்தரபிரதேச மாநிலம் கோரக்பூரில் தொடங்கப்பட்ட கீதா அச்சகம், சில மாதங்களில் நிறுவப்பட்டு 100 ஆண்டுகளை நிறைவு செய்ய உள்ளது. நூற்றாண்டு விழாவைக் கொண்டாடும் ஒரு வருடத்திற்கு நிறுவனத்தால் விழாக்கள் நடத்தப்படும். 
• 1923 ஆம் ஆண்டு கோரக்பூரில் கீதா அச்சகம், இலாப நோக்கற்ற கருத்துடன் நிறுவப்பட்டது. கீதா அச்சகத்தின் பயணம் ரூ.10 வாடகை வீட்டில் இருந்து தொடங்கியது. 
• இன்று கீதா பிரஸ் 15 மொழிகளில் சுமார் 1800 புத்தகங்களை வெளியிடுகிறது. இன்றும் கீதா அச்சகத்தில் 2 ரூபாய் மதிப்புள்ள சமய நூல்கள் கிடைக்கின்றன.
• இது குறித்து பிரதமர் தனது ட்விட்டர் பதிவில், "2021 ஆம் ஆண்டுக்கான காந்தி அமைதிப் பரிசு பெறும் கோரக்பூரில் உள்ள கீதா பதிப்பகத்தை நான் வாழ்த்துகிறேன். 
• கடந்த 100 ஆண்டுகளாக மக்கள் மத்தியில் சமூக மற்றும் கலாச்சார மாற்றங்களை மேம்படுத்துவதில் அவர்கள் பாராட்டத்தக்க பணிகளைச் செய்துள்ளனர் என்று குறிப்பிட்டு வாழ்த்தியுள்ளார்.

• In 1995, on the 125th birthday of Kadma Gandhi, the Government of India decided to award the Gandhi Peace Award in her name and has been awarding these awards every year.
• The award is selected by a committee including the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, the Chief Justice of India and the Leader of the Opposition in Parliament. In this case, the Gandhi Peace Award for the year 2021 is given to the Geeta Press Publishing House in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.
• Gita Press, started in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, is set to complete 100 years of its establishment in a few months. Celebrations will be held by the company for a year to celebrate the centenary. 
• Gita Press was established in Gorakhpur in 1923 with a non-profit concept. The journey of Geetha Press started from a rented house of Rs.10. Today Geeta Press publishes about 1800 books in 15 languages. Even today religious books worth Rs 2 are available in Gita Press.
• In his Twitter post, the Prime Minister said, "I congratulate the Gita Publishing House, Gorakhpur, for receiving the Gandhi Peace Prize for 2021. They have done commendable work in promoting social and cultural change among people for the last 100 years.
