தமிழ்நாடு அரசு மற்றும் இங்கிலாந்து அரசுடன் இணைந்து தாவரவியல் பூங்கா அமைக்க ஒப்பந்தம் / Agreement to set up a botanical garden in collaboration with Tamil Nadu Government and UK Government

• லண்டனில் உள்ள கியூ கார்டன்ஸ் நிறுவனத்தின் தொழில்நுட்ப பங்களிப்புடன் செங்கல்பட்டு மாவட்டத்தில் தாவரவியல் பூங்கா ஒன்றை அமைக்க தமிழ்நாடு அரசு திட்டமிட்டுள்ளது. 
• தமிழ்நாட்டின் பூர்வீக அரிய வகை மற்றும் தாவர இனங்களை பாதுகாப்பதே இந்த பூங்காவை அமைப்பதற்கான நோக்கமாகும்.
• தமிழ்நாடு அரசின் வனத்துறை அமைச்சர் மதிவேந்தன் மற்றும் இங்கிலாந்து அரசின் சுற்றுச்சூழல், உணவு மற்றும் ஊரக விவகாரங்கள் துறை அமைச்சர் தெரஸ் கோபே ஆகியோரது முன்னிலையில், தமிழ்நாடு அரசு சுற்றுச்சூழல், காலநிலை மாற்றம் மற்றும் வனத்துறை செயலாளர் சுப்ரியா சாகு மற்றும் கியூ கார்டன் இயக்குநர் ரிச்சர்ட் டெவெரெல் ஆகியோருக்கு இடையே இத்திட்டத்திற்கான புரிந்துணர்வு ஒப்பந்தம் நேற்று சென்னையில் கையெழுத்திடப்பட்டது.
• இந்த தாவரவியல் பூங்கா அமைப்பதற்கான, நிலப்பரப்பு திட்டமிடல், தாவர சேகரிப்பு, மேம்பாடு, பூங்கா மேலாண்மை மற்றும் இது தொடர்பான பிற இனங்களில் தமிழ்நாடு அரசுக்கு ஆலோசனை மற்றும் நிபுணத்துவத்தை வழங்குவதற்கு இந்த புரிந்துணர்வு ஒப்பந்தம் உறுதியளிக்கிறது. 
• இங்கிலாந்து அரசின் பங்களிப்புடன் காலநிலை மாற்றங்களுக்கான துரிதப்படுத்தப்பட்ட அலையாத்தி காடுகள் திட்டத்தினை இங்கிலாந்து அமைச்சர் தெரஸ் கோபே துவைக்கி வைத்தார்.
• இதில், தமிழ்நாடு அரசின் ஆலோசனையின்படி காடுகள், அலையாத்தி காடுகள், ஈரநிலங்கள் ஆகிய 3 காலநிலை திறன்மிகு கிராமங்களில் இத்திட்டம் செயல்படுத்தப்படும். 
• தமிழ்நாட்டின் குறைந்த கரிம தொழில்மேம்பாட்டிற்கான வழிகாட்டும் வரைபடத்தை இங்கிலாந்து அமைச்சர் கிரஹாம் ஸ்டூவர்ட் மற்றும் தமிழ்நாடு சுற்றுசூழல் மற்றும் காலநிலை மாற்றத்துறை அமைச்சர் சிவ.வீ.மெய்யநாதன் இணைந்து தொடங்கி வைத்தார். 
• தொழில்முறைகளில் குறை கரிம கொள்கையினை மேற்கொள்வதை ஊக்குவிக்கவும், 2070ம் ஆண்டுக்கு முன் நிகர பூஜ்ஜுய உமிழ்வின்மை என்னும் இலக்கினை எட்டும் இம்மாநில அரசின் காலநிலை மாற்ற இலக்கினை அடையவும் தொழிற்சாலைகளுக்கான பசுமை மதிப்பீடு கட்டமைப்பினை அமைச்சர்கள் இணைந்து தொடங்கினர்.

• The Tamil Nadu government is planning to set up a botanical garden in Chengalpattu district with technical assistance from Q Gardens in London. The purpose of setting up this park is to protect the rare species and plant species indigenous to Tamil Nadu.
• In the presence of Tamil Nadu Minister of Forests Mathiventhan and UK Minister of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Theresa Cope, the Memorandum of Understanding for the project was signed between Tamil Nadu Government Environment, Climate Change and Forests Secretary Supriya Saku and Q Garden Director Richard Deverell yesterday in Chennai.
• The MoU promises to provide consultancy and expertise to the Government of Tamil Nadu in landscape planning, plant collection, development, park management and other related species for setting up this botanical garden.
• UK Minister Theresa Cobe has launched the Accelerated Migration Forests Program for Climate Change with the UK Government's contribution.
• In this, the scheme will be implemented in 3 climate-efficient villages namely forests, wandering forests and wetlands as per the advice of the Tamil Nadu government.
• UK Minister Graham Stuart and Tamil Nadu Environment and Climate Change Minister Shiva.V. Meiyanathan jointly launched the road map for the development of low organic industries in Tamil Nadu.
• The Ministers jointly launched the Green Rating Framework for Industries to encourage adoption of a leaner policy among professionals and to achieve the State Government's climate change target of net zero emissions by 2070.
