தேசிய விஞ்ஞான் புரஸ்கார் விருதுகள் / NATIONAL SCIENTIST PURASKAR AWARD

அறிவியல், தொழில்நுட்பம் மற்றும் புதுமை கண்டுபிடிப்பில் சாதனை படைப்பவர்களை அங்கீகரிக்கும் வகையில் நான்கு பிரிவுகளின் கீழ் விஞ்ஞான் ரத்னா, விஞ்ஞான் ஸ்ரீ, விஞ்ஞான் யுவ-சாந்தி ஸ்வரூப் பட்னாகர் மற்றும் விஞ்ஞான் டீம் என்ற பெயர்களில் விருதுகள் வழங்கப்படும். 

இந்த புதிய விருதுகளுக்காக அறிவியலின் 13 துறைகளைச் சேர்ந்த விஞ்ஞானிகளை மத்திய அரசின் முதன்மை அறிவியல் ஆலோசகர் தலைமையிலான குழு தேர்வு செய்யும்.

அறிவியல் மற்றும் தொழில்நுட்பத் துறையில் வாழ்நாள் சாதனை படைப்பவர்களுக்கு 'விஞ்ஞான் ரத்னா' விருது வழங்கப்படும். இத்துறையில் சிறப்பான பங்களிப்பை அளித்தவர்களுக்கு 'விஞ்ஞான் ஸ்ரீ' விருது வழங்கப்படும். 

அனைத்து விருதுகளுடன் பாராட்டு சான்றிதழ் மற்றும் பதக்கம் வழங்கப்படும். 3 அல்லது அதற்கு மேற்பட்ட விஞ்ஞானிகள் / ஆராய்ச்சியாளர்கள் / புதுமை கண்டுபிடிப்பாளர்கள் குழுவாக பணியாற்றி சிறப்பான பங்களிப்பை அளித்தால் அவர்களுக்கு 'விஞ்ஞான் டீம்' விருது வழங்கப்படும்.

இந்தியாவில் அறிவியல், தொழில்நுட்பம் மற்றும் புதுமை கண்டுபிடிப்பு துறையில் மிக உயரிய விருதாக 'தி ராஷ்ட்ரிய விஞ்ஞான் புரஸ்கார்' விருது திகழும். 

அரசு, தனியார் துறை மற்றும் இதர அமைப்புகளில் தனியாக பணியாற்றும் விஞ்ஞானிகள், தொழில்நுட்ப நிபுணர்கள், புதுமை கண்டுபிடிப்பாளர்கள் அறிவியல் துறையில் சிறந்த பங்களிப்பை அளித்து சாதனை படைத்திருந்தால் இந்த விருதுகளுக்கு விண்ணப்பிக்கலாம்.

இயற்பியல், வேதியியல், உயிரியல், கணிதம், கணினி அறிவியல், புவி அறிவியல், மருத்துவம், பொறியியல்,வேளாண் அறிவியல், சுற்றுச்சூழல் அறிவியல், தொழில்நுட்பம் மற்றும் புதுமை கண்டுபிடிப்பு, அணு சக்தி, விண்வெளி அறிவியல் மற்றும் தொழில்நுட்பம் உட்பட பல துறைகளில் சுமார் 300 விருதுகள் வழங்கப்படும்.

இந்த விருதுகளுக்கு ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் ஜனவரி 14-ம் தேதி முதல்பிப்ரவரி 28-ம் தேதி வரை விண்ணப்பிக்கலாம். இந்த விருதுகள் தேசிய தொழில்நுட்ப தினமான மே11-ம் தேதி அறிவிக்கப்பட்டு, தேசிய விண்வெளி தினமான ஆகஸ்ட் 23-ம் தேதி வழங்கப்படும்.

அறிவியல் தொழில்நுட்பத் துறையில் சிறப்பான பங்களிப்பை அளிக்கும் 45 வயதுக்கு உட்பட்ட இளம் விஞ்ஞானிகளுக்கு, அறிவியல் மற்றும் தொழில் ஆராய்ச்சி கவுன்சில் கடந்த 1958-ம் ஆண்டு முதல் 'தி சாந்தி ஸ்வரூப் பட்னாகர் விருதுகளை வழங்கி வருகிறது. 7 பிரிவுகளில் வழங்கப்பட்ட இந்த விருதுகள் இனி 13 பிரிவுகளுக்கு வழங்கப்படும்.

The awards will be presented under four categories namely Vigyan Ratna, Vigyan Sri, Vigyan Yuva-Santi Swaroop Bhatnagar and Vigyan Team to recognize achievements in science, technology and innovation. Scientists from 13 fields of science will be selected for these new awards by a committee headed by the Principal Science Adviser to the Central Government.

The 'Vignan Ratna' award will be given to those who have made lifetime achievements in the field of science and technology. 'Vignan Sri' award will be given to those who have made outstanding contribution in this field. 

All awards will be accompanied by a certificate of appreciation and a medal. A 'Scientific Team' Award will be given to 3 or more scientists/researchers/innovators working as a team and making outstanding contributions.

'The Rashtriya Vigyan Puraskar' is India's highest award in the field of science, technology and innovation. Individual scientists, technologists, innovators working in the government, private sector and other organizations can apply for these awards if they have made outstanding contributions in the field of science.

Around 300 awards will be presented in various fields including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Computer Science, Earth Sciences, Medicine, Engineering, Agricultural Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Technology and Innovation, Nuclear Energy, Space Science and Technology.

Applications for these awards can be made from 14th January to 28th February every year. The awards will be announced on National Technology Day, May 11, and presented on National Space Day, August 23.

Since 1958, the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research has been awarding 'The Shanti Swaroop Bhatnagar Awards' to young scientists below the age of 45 who have made outstanding contributions to the field of science and technology. These awards were presented in 7 categories and will now be given in 13 categories.
