அந்த அமர்வில் 17 ஐரோப்பிய நாடுகளைச் சேர்ந்த உறுப்பினர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டனர். 1994 இல், CCC ஆனது உலக சுங்க அமைப்பு என மறுபெயரிடப்பட்டது.

History

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMS DAY 2024 - 26TH JANUARY: In the year 1953, the Customs Cooperation Council (CCC) confirmed this date to be observed as International Customs Day. The session was inaugurated in Brussels, Belgium. 

Members from 17 European countries attended that session. In 1994, CCC was renamed as World Customs Organisation,, and currently consists of 182 member states across the world. Since then, International Customs Day has been observed.

Significance

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMS DAY 2024 - 26TH JANUARY: In India, the responsibilities of the customs agencies are handled by the Central Board of Excise and Customs.
