COUNTRIES WITH MOST WORLD HERITAGE SITES / உலக பாரம்பரிய தளங்களை அதிகம் கொண்ட நாடுகள் பட்டியல்: ஐக்கிய நாடுகளின் கல்வி, அறிவியல் மற்றும் கலாசார அமைப்பு UNESCO. உலகின் கலாசார மற்றும் இயற்கை பாரம்பரியத்தை பாதுகாத்து மேம்படுத்துவதே UNESCO-வின் நோக்கம். இது பிரான்சின் பாரிஸை தலைமையிடமாகக் கொண்டு செயல்பட்டு வருகிறது.

1945 ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் சிறந்த உலகளாவிய மதிப்பைக் கொண்டதாகக் கருதப்படும் தளங்களை இது பட்டியலிட்டு வருகிறது. இதன்படி UNESCO-வின் 2024ம் ஆண்டுக்கான பட்டியலில் 166 நாடுகளில் இருக்கும் 1,172 உலக பாரம்பரிய தளங்கள் பட்டியலிடப்பட்டுள்ளன. 

அதில், அதிக தளங்களை கொண்ட முதல் பத்து இடங்களை பிடித்த நாடுகளையும், அங்குள்ள உலக பாரம்பரிய தளங்களின் எண்ணிக்கை எத்தனை என்பதையும் பட்டியலிட்டுள்ளது UNESCO.

இப்பட்டியலில் இந்தியா 6-வது இடத்தில் 42 பாரம்பரிய தளங்களை உள்ளடக்கியதாக உள்ளது. முதலிடத்தை இத்தாலியும், இரண்டாவது இடத்தை சீனாவும் பிடித்துள்ளன.

COUNTRIES WITH MOST WORLD HERITAGE SITES: United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization UNESCO. UNESCO's mission is to protect and promote the world's cultural and natural heritage. 

It is headquartered in Paris, France. Every year since 1945, it has listed sites deemed to have the best global value. According to this, 1,172 World Heritage Sites in 166 countries have been listed in UNESCO's 2024 list.

In it, UNESCO has listed the top ten countries with the most sites and the number of World Heritage Sites there. India ranks 6th in the list with 42 heritage sites. The first place is occupied by Italy and the second place by China.
