தமிழ்த் திரையுலகில் சிறந்து விளங்கிடும் வாழ்நாள் சாதனையாளர்களைப் போற்றிப் பாராட்டிடும் வகையில் தமிழ்நாடு அரசின் சார்பில், முத்தமிழறிஞர் கலைஞர் அவர்களின் பெயரில் "கலைஞர் நினைவு கலைத்துறை வித்தகர் விருது" ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் முத்தமிழறிஞர் கலைஞர் அவர்களின் பிறந்த நாளான ஜூன் திங்கள் 3-ஆம் நாளான்று வழங்கப்படும் என்றும், தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்படும் விருதாளர்களுக்கு 10 இலட்சம் ரூபாயும், நினைவுப் பரிசும் வழங்கப்படும் என்றும் தமிழ் வளர்ச்சி மற்றும் செய்தித் துறை அமைச்சர் அவர்களால் கடந்த 2022-ஆம் ஆண்டு சட்டப்பேரவையில் அறிவிக்கப்பட்டு அரசாணையும் வெளியிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.

இந்த அறிவிப்பினைச் செயல்படுத்துகின்ற வகையில், தமிழ்நாடு முதலமைச்சர் மு.க.ஸ்டாலின் அவர்களின் உத்தரவின்பேரில், விருதாளர்களைத் தேர்வு செய்யும் பொருட்டு, திரைப்பட இயக்குநர் எஸ்.பி.முத்துராமன் அவர்கள் தலைமையில், நடிகர் சங்கத் தலைவர் நாசர், திரைப்பட இயக்குநர் கரு.பழனியப்பன் ஆகியோரை உறுப்பினர்களாகக் கொண்ட குழு அமைக்கப்பட்டது.

கடந்த 2022-ஆம் ஆண்டு முத்தமிழறிஞர் கலைஞர் அவர்களின் பிறந்த நாள் நினைவாக வழங்கப்படும் "கலைஞர் நினைவு கலைத்துறை வித்தகர் விருதினை திரைப்படத் துறையில் தடம்பதித்து ஏறத்தாழ 500 திரைப்படங்களுக்கு மேல் கதை, திரைக்கதை, வசனம் எழுதிப் புகழ் குவித்துள்ள ஆரூர்தாஸ் எனப்படும் திருவாரூர் தாஸ் அவர்களுக்கு வழங்கப்படும் என அறிவித்ததுடன் தமிழ்நாடு முதலமைச்சர் மு.க.ஸ்டாலின் அவர்கள் முதுமை காரணமாக ஓய்விலிருக்கும் திரு.ஆரூர்தாஸ் அவர்களின் இல்லத்திற்கே நேரில் சென்று (03.06.2022) அன்று இந்த விருதினை வழங்கிச் சிறப்பித்தார்கள்.

முத்தமிழறிஞர் கலைஞர் அவர்களின் நூற்றாண்டு விழாவை முன்னிட்டு, வழக்கமாக வழங்கப்படும் கலைஞர் நினைவு கலைத்துறை வித்தகர் விருதுடன், சிறப்பினமாகப் பெண்மையைப் போற்றும் வகையில் கூடுதலாக ஒரு பெண் திரைக்கலைஞருக்கும் இந்த விருதினை வழங்கிச் சிறப்பித்திட தமிழ்நாடு முதலமைச்சர் மு.க.ஸ்டாலின் அவர்கள் 11.07.2024 அன்று உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளார்கள்.

இந்த உத்தரவின்படி, திரைப்பட இயக்குநர் எஸ்.பி.முத்துராமன் அவர்கள் தலைமையிலான குழு கூடி, தமிழ்ப் பேராசிரியரும், புதுக்கவிதைக்கு ஏற்றம் தந்தவரும், சாகித்ய அகெதமி விருது பெற்றவரும், முத்தமிழறிஞர் கலைஞர் அவர்களால் பாராட்டப்பட்டவருமான கவிஞர் மு.மேத்தா அவர்களுக்கும், திரையுலகில் 25,000க்கும் மேற்பட்ட பலமொழிப் பாடல்களைப் பாடியவரும், "தென்னிந்தியாவின் இசைக்குயில்" என்றும், "மெல்லிசை அரசி" என்றும் பாராட்டப்பட்டுள்ளவரும், முத்தமிழறிஞர் கலைஞர் அவர்களால் பல நிகழ்வுகளில் பாராட்டப்பட்டவருமான திரைப்படப் பின்னணிப் பாடகி பி.சுசிலா அவர்களுக்கும் 2023-ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான கலைஞர் நினைவு கலைத்துறை வித்தகர் விருதுகள் வழங்கிட பரிந்துரைத்துள்ளது.

முதலமைச்சர் மு.க.ஸ்டாலின் அவர்கள் கலைஞர் நினைவு கலைத்துறை வித்தகர் விருதுகளை 30.9.2024 அன்று தலைமைச் செயலகத்தில் வழங்கிச் சிறப்பிக்கிறார்கள்.

KALAIGNAR NINAIVU KALAITHURAI VITHAKAR AWARD 2023: On behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu, in order to honor the outstanding lifetime achievers in the Tamil film industry, the "Kalaignar Ninaivu Kalaithurai Vidhakar Virudhu" in the name of Muthamizharinagar Kalainar will be presented every year on June 3rd, the birthday of Muthamizharinagar Kalainar, and the selected awardees. It was announced by the Minister of Tamil Development and Information in the Legislative Assembly last year 2022 and the decree was also issued.

In order to implement this announcement, on the order of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K.Stalin, a committee was formed to select the awardees under the leadership of film director S.B.Muthuraman, the members of which were Nadaga Sangha president Nasser and film director Karu Palaniappan.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K.Stalin announced that the "Artist's Memorial Artist's Award" will be given in 2022 in commemoration of his birthday. Due to this, retired Mr. Auroordas went to his residence in person and presented this award on (03.06.2022).

On 11.07.2024, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K.Stalin has ordered to present this award to an additional female screen artiste in addition to the usual Artist Memorial Arts Vidhakar Award in honor of the centenary of Muthamizharinagar artist.

According to this order, a committee led by film director S.P. Muthuraman met and called poet M. Mehta, professor of Tamil, promoter of new poetry, Sahitya Akhetami awardee, acclaimed artist and poet M. Mehta, who has sung more than 25,000 multilingual songs in the film industry, as the "musical of South India" acclaimed as the "Queen of Melody" and praised by Muthamizharinagara artiste P.Susila on many occasions, has also been nominated for the Kalaignar Ninaivu Kalaithurai Vidhakar Virudhu for the year 2023. Chief Minister M.K.Stalin felicitated the Kalaignar Ninaivu Kalaithurai Vidhakar Virudhu on 30.9.2024 at the Chief Secretariat.
