GOVERNOR AWARD 2024 FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION / சமூக சேவை மற்றும் சுற்றுச்சூழல் பாதுகாப்பு ஆளுநர் விருது 2024: ஆளுநர் விருது 2024 'சமூக சேவை' மற்றும் 'சுற்றுச்சூழல் பாதுகாப்பு' ஆகிய பிரிவுகளின் கீழ் விருதுகள் வென்றவர்களின் விவரங்களை தமிழ்நாடு ஆளுநர் மாளிகை அறிவிக்கிறது. கடந்த ஆண்டு 28 ஜூன் 2024 அன்று இவ்விருதுகளுக்கான அறிவிப்பினை தமிழ்நாடு ஆளுநர் மாளிகை வெளியிட்டது.

இந்த இரு விருதுகளும் சமூக சேவை மற்றும் சுற்றுச்சூழல் பாதுகாப்பில் ஈடுப்பட்டுள்ள தனிநபர்கள் மற்றும் நிறுவனங்களின் தன்னலமற்ற சேவையை அங்கீகரித்து அவர்களை பாராட்டி ஊக்குவிப்பதற்காக ஆளுநர் மாளிகை சார்பாக அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது.

இவ்விருதுகளுக்காக பெறப்பட்ட விண்ணப்பங்கள் ஓய்வுபெற்ற உயர் நீதிமன்ற நீதிபதி அவர்கள் தலைமையில் அமைக்கப்பட்ட முக்கிய பிரமுகர்களை உள்ளடக்கிய தேர்வக் குழுவினரால் ஆய்வு செய்யப்பட்டு தேர்வுக் குழுவின் பரிந்துரைகளின் அடிப்படையில், 'சமூக சேவை' மற்றும் சுற்றுச்சூழல் பாதுகாப்பு' ஆகிய இரு பிரிவுகளின் கீழ் விருதுகள் வென்றவர்களின் விவரங்களை தமிழ்நாடு ஆளுநர் மாளிகை பின்வருமாறு அறிவிக்கிறது.

'சமூக சேவை' (நிறுவனம்) பிரிவில், கோயம்புத்தூர் மாவட்டம் 'இதயங்கள்' மற்றும் சென்னை மாவட்டம் 'ஹோப் பப்ளிக் சாரிட்டபிள் டிரஸ்ட்' ஆகிய இரு அமைப்பிற்கு தலா ரூ.5 லட்சம் ரொக்கப் பரிசும், பாராட்டுச் சான்றிதழும் வழங்கப்படும். 'இதயங்கள்' அமைப்பானது நீரிழிவு நோயால் பாதிக்கப்பட்டு பராமரிப்பு தேவைப்படும் ஏழைக் குழந்தைகளுக்கு சேவை செய்து வருகிறது. 

ஹோப் பப்ளிக் சாரிட்டபிள் டிரஸ்ட், ஆட்டிசம் மற்றும் அறிவுசார் குறைபாடு உள்ள குழந்தைகளுக்கு சிறப்பு கல்வி, தொழில் பயிற்சி மற்றும் மறுவாழ்வு சேவைகளை வழங்குவதில் ஈடுபட்டு வருகிறது.

'சமூக சேவை' (தனிநபர்கள்) பிரிவில் சென்னை மாவட்டத்தைச் சேர்ந்த எஸ். இராமலிங்கம், கோயம்புத்தூர் மாவட்டத்தைச் சேர்ந்த ஜே.சொர்ணலதா மற்றும் மதுரை மாவட்டத்தைச் சேர்ந்த ஏ.ராஜ்குமார் ஆகியோர் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளனர். இவர்களுக்கு தலா ரூ.2 லட்சம் மற்றும் பாராட்டு சான்றிதழ் ஆளுநர் மாளிகையின் சார்பாக வழங்கப்படும்.

எஸ்.இராமலிங்கம், கடந்த 33 ஆண்டுகளாக சிறப்புத் தேவைகள் உள்ள குழந்தைகளை கண்டறிந்து அவர்களுக்கு உதவுவதில் தன்னை அர்ப்பணித்துக் கொண்டுள்ளார்.

ஜே.சொர்ணலதா, 2009 ஆம் ஆண்டு தண்டுவட மரபு நோயால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட நிலையிலும், நரம்புத்தசை கோளாறுகள் மற்றும் பல்வேறு குறைபாடுகளால் பாதிக்கப்பட்டவர்களுக்கு ஆதரவளிப்பதில் தன்னை ஈடுப்படுத்தி கொண்டுள்ளார்.

ஏ.ராஜ்குமார், வீதிகளில் வாழும் முதியோர்கள், ஆதரவற்றோர் மற்றும் மனநலம் பாதிக்கப்பட்டவர்களுக்கு தன்னலமற்ற முறையில் சேவை செய்து வருகிறார்.

'சுற்றுச்சூழல் பாதுகாப்பு' (நிறுவனம்) பிரிவில் 'சிட்லபாக்கம் ரைசிங் தொண்டு அறக்கட்டளை' (Chitlapakkam Rising Charitable Trust) என்ற சென்னையை சேர்ந்த தன்னார்வ தொண்டு அமைப்பு விருதுக்கு தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இவ்வமைப்பிற்கு ரூ.5 லட்சம் மற்றும் பாராட்டுச் சான்றிதழ் வழங்கப்படும். இவ்வமைப்பு அனைத்து தரப்பு மக்களையும் உள்ளடக்கிய ஒரு தன்னார்வ தொண்டு அமைப்பாகும். சுற்றுச்சூழல் சீர்கேடு குறித்த விழிப்புணர்வை பரப்புதல், நீர்நிலைகள் மேலாண்மை, பசுமையாக்கம், கழிவு மேலாண்மை போன்றவற்றில் தனது சிறப்பான பங்களிப்பை அளித்து வருகிறது.

மேற்படி 'சமூக சேவை' மற்றும் 'சுற்றுச்சூழல் பாதுகாப்பு' ஆகிய விருதுகள் அறிவிக்கப்பட்ட அமைப்புகள் மற்றும் தனிநபர்களுக்கு வருகின்ற 26.01.2025 அன்று சென்னை ஆளுநர் மாளிகையில் நடைபெற உள்ள குடியரசு தின வரவேற்பு நிகழ்ச்சியில் தமிழ்நாடு ஆளுநரால் விருதுகள் வழங்கப்பட்டு கௌரவிக்கப்படுவார்கள்.

GOVERNOR AWARD 2024 FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION: The Governor's Office of Tamil Nadu announces the details of the award winners under the categories of 'Social Service' and 'Environmental Protection' for the Governor's Award 2024. The Governor's Office of Tamil Nadu announced the notification for these awards on 28 June 2024 last year.

These two awards were announced on behalf of the Governor's Office to recognize, appreciate and encourage the selfless service of individuals and institutions involved in social service and environmental protection.

The applications received for these awards were scrutinized by a selection committee headed by a retired High Court judge comprising eminent personalities and based on the recommendations of the selection committee, the Governor's Office of Tamil Nadu announces the details of the award winners under the two categories of 'Social Service' and 'Environmental Protection' as follows.

In the 'Social Service' (Organization) category, two organizations, 'Idayangal', Coimbatore district and 'Hope Public Charitable Trust', Chennai district, will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 5 lakh each and a certificate of appreciation. 'Idayangal' serves poor children suffering from diabetes and in need of care.

Hope Public Charitable Trust is engaged in providing special education, vocational training and rehabilitation services to children with autism and intellectual disabilities.

In the 'Social Service' (Individuals) category, S. Ramalingam from Chennai district, J. Sornalatha from Coimbatore district and A. Rajkumar from Madurai district have been selected. They will be awarded Rs. 2 lakh each and a certificate of appreciation on behalf of the Governor's Office.

S. Ramalingam has dedicated himself to identifying and helping children with special needs for the last 33 years. J.Sornalatha, who was diagnosed with spinal cord injury in 2009, has dedicated herself to supporting people suffering from neuromuscular disorders and various disabilities.

A.Rajkumar has been selflessly serving the elderly, the destitute and the mentally ill living on the streets.

In the ‘Environmental Protection’ (Organization) category, ‘Chitlapakkam Rising Charitable Trust’, a Chennai-based NGO, has been selected for the award. The organization will be awarded Rs. 5 lakh and a certificate of appreciation.

The organization is a non-profit organization that includes people from all walks of life. It has been contributing significantly in spreading awareness about environmental degradation, water body management, greening, waste management, etc.

The organizations and individuals for whom the above-mentioned 'Social Service' and 'Environmental Protection' awards have been announced will be honored and presented with the awards by the Governor of Tamil Nadu at the Republic Day reception to be held at the Governor's Mansion in Chennai on 26.01.2025.
