INDIAN FOREST REPORT 2023 / இந்திய வனப்பகுதி நிலை அறிக்கை 2023: சுற்றுச்சூழல், வனம் மற்றும் பருவநிலை மாற்ற அமைச்சகத்தின் கீழ் உள்ள டேராடூனில் உள்ள இந்திய வன ஆய்வு அமைப்பு, 1987 முதல் இரண்டு ஆண்டுகளுக்கு ஒரு முறை வனப்பரப்பளவை மதிப்பீடு செய்து வருகிறது. இந்த கண்டுபிடிப்புகள் இந்திய வனப் பகுதி நிலை அறிக்கையில் வெளியிடப்படுகின்றன.

இந்திய வனப்பகுதி நிலை அறிக்கை 2015-ன் படி, மொத்த காடு மற்றும் மரங்களின் பரப்பளவு 7,94,245 சதுர கிலோமீட்டர் ஆகும். இது நாட்டின் புவியியல் பரப்பளவில் 24.16% ஆகும்.

தற்போது, இந்திய வனப்பகுதி நிலை அறிக்கை 2023-ன் படி, மொத்த காடு மற்றும் மரங்களின் பரப்பளவு 8,27,357 சதுர கிலோமீட்டர் ஆகும். இது நாட்டின் புவியியல் பரப்பளவில் 25.17% ஆகும்.

சுற்றுச்சூழல், வனம் மற்றும் பருவநிலை மாற்ற அமைச்சகம் சட்டங்கள், விதிகளின்படி காடுகள் மற்றும் மரங்களைப் பாதுகாக்க மாநில அரசுகள் / யூனியன் பிரதேச நிர்வாகங்களுக்கு ஆலோசனைகளை வழங்குகிறது.

மேலும், வனங்களைப் பாதுகாக்கும் பொருட்டு, வனப்பகுதிகளை அளவீடு செய்தல், எல்லை நிர்ணயம் செய்தல், வன எல்லைகளில் தூண்கள் நடுதல் மற்றும் களப்பணியாளர்களைக் கொண்டு ரோந்து பணி மேற்கொள்ளுதல் உள்ளிட்ட பல்வேறு நடவடிக்கைகளை மாநில வனத்துறைகள் மேற்கொண்டு வருகின்றன.

கூடுதலாக, நாட்டில் உள்ள வனங்களின் பாதுகாப்பு, மேலாண்மைக்காக மாநிலங்கள் / யூனியன் பிரதேசங்களுக்கு தொழில்நுட்ப மற்றும் நிதி உதவிகளை மத்திய அமைச்சகம் வழங்குகிறது.

காடு வளர்ப்பிற்காக, தேசிய பசுமை இந்தியா இயக்கம், வன உயிரின வாழ்விட மேம்பாடு மற்றும் நகர் வன திட்டம் போன்ற பல்வேறு திட்டங்களின் கீழ் அரசு நிதி வழங்குகிறது.

இழப்பீட்டு காடு வளர்ப்பு நிதி மேலாண்மை மற்றும் திட்டமிடல் ஆணையத்தின் (கேம்பா) கீழ் மாநிலங்கள் / யூனியன் பிரதேசங்களால் காடு வளர்ப்பு மேற்கொள்ளப்படுகிறது.

கடந்த ஐந்தாண்டுகளில் பசுமை இந்தியாவுக்கான தேசிய இயக்கத்தின் கீழ் ரூ.624.69 கோடி விடுவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. வன உயிரின வாழ்விட மேம்பாட்டுத் திட்டத்தின் கீழ் ரூ.452.04 கோடி; நகர் வனத் திட்டத்தின் கீழ் ரூ.308.87 கோடியும், கேம்பாவின் ஆண்டு செயல்பாட்டுத் திட்டத்தின் கீழ் ரூ.38,502.21 கோடியும் ஒதுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

வனப்பகுதிகளுக்கு உள்ளேயும் வெளியேயும் காடு வளர்ப்பு, வன நிலத்தோற்ற மீட்பு, வாழ்விட மேம்பாடு, மண் மற்றும் நீர் பாதுகாப்பு நடவடிக்கைகள், பாதுகாப்பு போன்றவற்றின் மூலம் சுற்றுச்சூழலை மீட்டெடுப்பதற்கான மாநிலங்கள் மற்றும் யூனியன் பிரதேசங்களின் முயற்சிகளுக்காக இந்த நிதி உதவிகள் வழங்கப்படுகின்றன

INDIAN FOREST REPORT 2023: The Forest Survey of India, Dehradun, under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, has been assessing forest cover every two years since 1987. The findings are published in the State of Forest Area of ​​India report.

According to the State of Forest Area of ​​India 2015, the total area of ​​forest and timber is 7,94,245 sq km. This is 24.16% of the geographical area of ​​the country. Currently, according to the State of Forest Area of ​​India 2023, the total area of ​​forest and timber is 8,27,357 sq km. This is 25.17% of the geographical area of ​​the country.

The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change advises the State Governments/Union Territory Administrations to conserve forests and timber as per the laws and rules.

Further, various activities like surveying of forest areas, demarcation of forest areas, planting of poles on forest boundaries and patrolling by field workers are being carried out by the State Forest Departments to protect the forests.

In addition, the Union Ministry provides technical and financial assistance to the States/Union Territories for the protection and management of forests in the country. For afforestation, the Government provides funds under various schemes like National Green India Mission, Wildlife Habitat Development and Urban Forest Scheme.

Afforestation is carried out by the States/Union Territories under the Compensation Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority (CEPA).In the last five years, Rs. 624.69 crore has been released under the National Green India Mission. 

Rs. 452.04 crore has been allocated under Wildlife Habitat Development Scheme; Rs. 308.87 crore under Urban Forest Scheme and Rs. 38,502.21 crore under the Annual Action Plan of CEPA. 

These financial assistances are provided for the efforts of States and Union Territories to restore the environment through afforestation, forest landscape restoration, habitat development, soil and water conservation measures, conservation, etc., both inside and outside forest areas.
